Subway — Restaurant in Renfrew

Horrible experience!

Ordered a sub, cookie and bottled drink. The food was good. After i finished i looked around and only saw a garbage bin so i asked "do you have recycling?" The girl said "just leave it up there" pointing at the garbage bin. I set it on top of the garbage bin platform like where people put the reusable green baskets that hold the subs for eat in. I had a bad feeling they would just throw it out but thought maybe they collected them and brought them in the back to recycle or something... a few minutes later the girl comes up, grabs the bottle and tosses it out!!! Disgusting. They are a big corporation so the fact that they dont have recycling is disgusting but they blatantly lied to my face!!

If they wouldve just said no we dont recycle... then i wouldve kept my bottle in my pocket to recycle at home, as is my choice. When i confronted the male worker about lying to me he shrugged it off then proceeded to blame customers saying "we used to have recycling here but people were still throwing garbage in it and mixing stuff up" which is another lie. Theres never been recycling there at least in the 5 years ive been in town.

Then i explained why i didnt like that he lied and he actually had the nerve to offer me the bottle back! "I can get it out for you" no thanks man its covered in garbage now and stop avoiding the point that you blatantly lied!!...

I had a truly wonderful experience at Subway. Being a vegetarian, I always pay extra attention to how my food is prepared, and the staff here really went above and beyond. They carefully respected my dietary needs, double-checked everything, and made sure my sandwich was exactly the way I wanted.

What touched me the most was the way the staff treated me — not just as a customer, but almost like a family member. They were incredibly supportive, patient, and genuinely kind. From greeting me with a smile to guiding me through the best vegetarian options, they made me feel comfortable and valued throughout the entire visit.

The restaurant itself was very clean, organized, and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. Honestly, it’s rare these days to find such a warm and caring atmosphere in a fast-food place, but this Subway team truly set a high standard.

When we arrived, there was 1 customer in the restaurant eating and the staff was carrying garbage through the restaurant out the front door (main entrance) where the public enters the restaurant. He the worker carried garbage from the back in the kitchen at chest height past the food counter where our subs were currently being made and out the front door.

THATS DISGUSTING!!!!!! IF THIS IS EVERYDAY PRACTICE ITS A WONDER HOW THEY ARE STILL OPEN!!!!

Staff are stingy when it comes to putting ingredients on your sub, everything costs extra now!!

Subway food has become tasteless and expensive.

Tables are uneven and wabble, I watched the customers try to stabilize the table buy putting paper towels under to feet. Unfortunately for him it didn't work.
