Asian Garden — Restaurant in Richmond Hill

I believe this place could benefit from some operational improvements, particularly with front-of-house service and food timing. I visited around 11:45 AM and ordered the Manchurian Chicken with gravy (Lunch Special). The older lady at the counter appeared to be managing everything alone and seemed a bit overwhelmed. Instead of sending my order to the kitchen promptly, she waited to batch several in-person and phone orders together before passing them along. Unfortunately, this meant my order was significantly delayed, and I watched several customers who ordered after me receive their food first. very poor customer service. i ordered chilli chicken and stir fried noodle. she said we dont serve you this because you have to only order lunch special. I said I don't want lunch special. And I said I've been to 3 other places they all served this dish. I want to order from menu, Very rudely answered back then go to that place... Well this was my last time I came here. When I was paying she asked if I am from a "specific middle eastern country" like she had some bad experience or something from that country. Racist customer service. All I wanted was a different dish than their lunch special. I feel disappointed...

Beware- food quality has significantly diminished and customer service is atrocious. I used to be a regular customer here but after my last experience, I will never support Asian Garden again. The lady at the front is extremely rude and argued with us for over ten minutes over a mistake she made with our order that she did not want to admit to. Instead of simply correcting the error, she chose to argue with us and also tried to charge us for the food that we didn't even order.
