After waiting nearly a year to finally visit Big Trio on Leslie Street, I’m glad to say it was absolutely worth it. This place does classic Hong Kong comfort food right, with all the familiar flavors done properly. We ordered a variety of dishes to sample: the fishballs and cuttlefish balls were fresh, bouncy, and had that clean, savory seafood taste you can only get when they’re made well. The wontons were delicate and generously filled, pairing perfectly with the clear broth. The beef brisket was tender and full of rich flavor without being overly fatty. One highlight was their 炸醬麵—the noodles had great texture and were coated evenly in the savory minced pork sauce. We also tried the 蚬芥陵鱼球 (fried fish balls with preserved clam sauce), which were unique and really delicious, something you don’t find everywhere. Overall, the meal felt like a comforting trip back to Hong Kong noodle shops, with attentive service and fair prices. Definitely a spot worth revisiting if you’re craving authentic wonton noodles and traditional snacks.

We had a great meal at Big Trio Wonton Noodle in Richmond Hill, and it definitely lived up to its reputation for quality and authenticity. The service was fast and efficient, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. We ordered the wonton lo mein with beef brisket and the wonton mein with beef brisket, and both were delicious. The wontons were plump, fresh, and flavorful, with a great balance of shrimp and pork filling. The beef brisket was tender and well-braised, complementing the noodles perfectly. The noodles had just the right texture, springy and not overcooked, making for a classic and comforting bowl of wonton noodles. If you’re looking for authentic Hong Kong-style wonton noodles in Richmond Hill, Big Trio is definitely worth a visit. Great food, quick service, and a clean, no-fuss dining experience—highly recommended!

2023 April 4★ A little off major intersections, this restaurant located in a small plaza still brings in a fair number of people during the busy lunch hours. Known for its different dumplings and fish balls, this place does a great job. The cuttle fish balls are chewy and have a good flavor. The beef brisket was tender and not salty. The shrimp wontons and dumplings were equally as good both in flavors and texture. The noodles themselves were cooked perfectly with a chewy texture. Three Kinds of Toppings Noodle in Soup $13 - a good option for those who want selection. They offer frozen take out as well. WONTON dozen at $18 DUMPLING dozen at $20 DACE FISH PASTE one pound at $16 CUTTLEFISH BALL one pound at $20 Worth a stop. Parking can be limited, but also available in the back.

Warning : If you are OK to pay a little more for quality food. Then please proceed and continue to read. If you are looking for bang for a buck, then this review is pointless to you.

Food quality is 8 out of 5. One word, quality. It seems like a very vague word. This is something you can factor in, the taste reminds you from your childhood memory is probably the best way to describe it. It was so awesome. I believe I need a further analysis for this. I have ordered their beef brisket with wonton soup noodles. Beef brisket : 8. 5 out of 5, this is by far the best I have tried throughout the years in Toronto. It's slightly chewy but it is more towards the tender side of it. It is perfectly prepared no more, no less. Perfectly marinated. Wonton soup : 4 out of 5. Very rich soup and you can tell it's cooked with a lot of seafood. Which is the proper way to do it. However it is a little salty afterward. Otherwise I would rate beyond 5 out of 5. Wonton noodles : 8.9 out of 5, very impressive for controlling the quality of the noodles and it's texture. A slight "Al Dante". Not those soggy noodles you find from those generic restaurants. Most importantly, not "too alkaline". Folks who appreciated a proper wonton noodles will understand what I mean by that. So I don't need to use their vinegar to neutralize it. This is how much I am in love with it.

Ambience : 5 out of 5. The place is very new nice.

Services : N/A, since I am ordering for take out, it's hard for me to give a proper rating. The waiting was pretty smooth.

Price : 1.9 out of 5. Price itself is relatively high compared to a typical wonton place. What you pay is what you get. And you are paying more for the quality. I am okay with it as long as it's worth it.

Overall is more than 5 out of 5. Definitely recommend it to everyone. Will I come back for...

I had the worst customer service experience today and it was my first time coming to this resto! I told my friend I was looking forward to trying this place. After we sat down, we placed our orders within 5 mins . The restaurant was quite empty at the time. We patiently sat there waiting for our food. After 20 mins has passed, still we saw no signs of our orders while others that were seated after us all got their food. We checked with one the staff and was told they are busy. Then he came back and asked us what we ordered and retook our orders while this entire time he didn't provide any explanation as why he had to retake our orders. Perhaps, the first person who took the order completely missed it?! You may want to re-train your staff to at least acknowledge and own up to a simple error. At this point, we've been sitting there for 30 mins. Every table that came after us all got their orders yet none of the staff had any common sense or be reactive to try to apologize or fill our orders quickly. At this point, I told my friend to leave the restaurant as they clearly don't want to serve us. This is the first time I left a restaurant because of such...

Since the opening of this store (more than a year ago), we ordered from them and we were promised that our old VIP card from Wonton Chai will be replaced with a new card. Every time we went, we asked if the new card was ready. They told us to leave our contacts almost every time and we would be given a call when the card is ready. Last time (around a month ago) after I paid for my order, I asked if the new card was ready. They said the card was not ready but they could give me the discount next time with my old card. Today, we went again and showed the old card for the discount, they said they could not give me the discount. Then we asked when we could get the new card. They said there were no more new cards and they could not give us the discount that was promised because the boss was not there at that time. So, we were told to leave our contact again. I could not remember how many times I had given my contact to them since the restaurant was opened. Let see if the boss will call us back about our concerns. I couldn't believe that this would happen with Big Trio which we had been ordering from them numerous times since Wonton Chai's time. Very...
