Located inside Richlane Mall, this korean resto has been around for many years now. The food is quite authentic even though the service is sometimes a lil bit shoddy during peak hours.
COMBO A-2 FOLKS. The best freaking deal ever. You get sliced pork belly (for the grill), a seafood pancake, deep-fried pork/chicken AND a family size pork bone soup as well. The menu says that it "serves 4 ppl" but TRUST, it can possible serve 4-6. I'm a big eater and I had enough food (my friends were tapping out by the time the pork bone soup came around).
Pork belly: Nice, thick cut pork with a good amount of meat and not just super fatty. The grill was angled and had a drip funnel to drain all the excess grease.
Seafood pancake: Big pancake. Lots of seafood. One of the best seafood pancakes in Richmond Hill.
Tangsuyook (deep fried pork): The pork was still crispy and juicy despite being covered by the sticky, sweet sauce. The sauce was a thick, apple-based sauce. HUGE plate of pork.
Fam-size pork bone soup: Some CHONKY cuts of pork bone and no potato in the soup (which was great). They toned down the spiciness a lil bit which I appreciated. I rmbr coming in the past w/ my friends and the PBS was insanely spicy. Ppl must've said something haha.
A-2 Combo is the way to go here. GUARANTEE...
Read moreI rarely feel compelled to write a review like this but I think it’s important and I hope will incite change. I’ve come here for years now and the food is delicious - that is undeniable. However, every single time we are met with extremely rude behaviour and service from the Aunties here. It’s one thing to treat rude customers with attitude. But every time we’re here, any group, we are always met with hostility, impatience and rude attitudes when we have nothing but kind and nice demeanors. They look at and treat their customers like annoyances. That is extremely off putting and it is not good business practice. I will always stand by the food but this service is extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming. It makes me not only not want to tip but makes me hesitate to come back. I’m not sure if anyone else feels this way dining here, but this has happened every, single, time coming here. It’s not excusable to say it is a culture difference because I never feel this way at any other Korean restaurant. I hope this service attitude can improve, for our sakes as customers and for the business’ sake. You can’t treat your customers with distain and expect loyalty, no matter how...
Read moreOn June 18 18:45 I called over to see if they can cater 7 adults and 2 kids (since it was pretty last minute and it would rather disrespectful to walk in with a total of 9 people without notice). I called and a lady picked up to which I asked can they cater us at 19:10 of 9 people in total and they said "yes, we have tables today." All good, and I expected a table reserved.
However when I arrive, I saw the tables mostly full with the biggest tables occupied in their middle of eating dinner. I walked in and I told them that I reserved a table of 7A and 2Ks at 19:10 (Mind you we arrive 3 mins earlier), but the lady told me she knows I called and she'll help me in a minute. I was hopeless at that point but I waited 5 minutes and no one helped us, my mother went over to a staff and told her our situation, and the staff said that they know we have a reservation but after the call they had all the walk-ins.
My question is, why didn't they reversed our table right after the call and they confirmed?
It doesn’t make sense how I booked a table and I walk in to my reservation just so they say we full after my booking when I called them before they have all...
