The best Chinese bakery in the area! Taste hasn’t changed in years and quality is always consistent. Prices have increased over the years, but it’s still worth the price considering just how good their buns are. I love their egg tarts and their hot dog buns. Super delicious especially if you take it home and bake it in a toaster for a few minutes. Highly highly recommend!! Their HK milk tea has a very traditional taste. Not sweet and quite strong and rich taste, so if that’s not your cup of tea, this might not be for you. They have a wide variety of chinese buns and pastries ranging from pineapple buns, ham and egg buns, year cakes, egg tarts, cheese tarts, roll cakes, and so much more. They even have frozen buns that you can take home to steam/bake yourself! They also sell a selection of traditional Chinese teas and HK milk teas. You don’t need to pay tax if you buy 6 or more buns. $0.15 charge for plastic bags. Extra fee if you pay by card. However, they do individually wrap each bun in a mini sealed baggie with a handle. So, if you don’t mind holding it, you can save on the extra plastic bag. There are a few seats and tables inside that can fill up on busy days. Free parking but it’s always busy and packed. Can be difficult to find a spot.

Wow what an experience! I spent $30 on this cake for someone's birthday. The person at the bakery said 6 people can eat this cake... when this cake is like 4 inch. Its a very miniature cake. I tried to find the cake but I see no cake. As the pictures shown, the layers of whipped cream is thicker than the cake itself. The taste of this cake is incredibly blend. I don't taste anything at all. The 3 people I shared the cake with can agree with me on that. The person at the bakery also mentioned that it's made with fresh mangos but the mangos taste like frozen mangos you buy in your local grocery store so I'm not sure if they truly know the definition of a fresh mango. Please, if you're running a business, be honest with your customers... if you want customers to come back. This cake does not taste like $30 to me and I am very disappointed. There are many other bakeries around the city and if this bakery keeps on producing their products like this, they will lose many of their customers.

My local bakery. I gravitate towards the same goods. I got the chicken pie, and pork and shrimp glutinous ball. 1. The chicken pie is full of actual pieces of chicken, vs filler pies ive tried at other bakeries. A filler pie is just starchy and goopy. This is full of chicken. 2. I love these glutinous balls. Size of a tennis ball. Its made with the dried shrimp, not the meaty kind. The woman who I believe owns the place seems so sweet. Hard working, shes always there whenever im there. Secondly, there a lot of reviews about customer service. Always check before you leave. If you get home and you're missing a whole cake, thats on you. And if you wait till the next day to say anything, no sympathies here. Hands down best bakery in the neighbourhood. Open to suggestions if you know other ones.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!! Duped by " Lucullus Bakery ".....AGAIN!! Delicious products can never make up for the damage done by scamming the consumers!! Previously, I bought a prepared dish ' Steamed pork spare ribs with preserved black bean ' only to find almost half of the container was filled with pumpkins!!.....the ingredient not stated on the label! Today, for lunch, I bought a pre-cooked ' Chicken a-la-king on rice 'from them. In the past, it was well executed, tasty and good value, packed full of nicely seasoned and caramelized chicken chunks ( at least 6-7 pieces ), smothered in a delightful white cream sauce. Today's version, for the same price, I received a carton containing 3 stingy chicken pieces, the rest replaced by........Potato chunks!!....all stealthily camouflaged by the cream sauce!!👎🤬😤 Looks like another 'blacklist' candidate!

CAVEAT EMPTOR (Part 2 )

More negative news coming out from ' Lucullus Bakery ' regarding more ' going downhill ' products! I posted above and provided warning of Lucullus skimming on their popular ' Chicken A-La-King Rice ' product.......replacing over half of the chicken chunks with potato nuggets whilst charging the same price!

Today ( January 11, 2024 ) I bought, for lunch, another of their ever-popular and usually consistent " Steamed Sticky Rice with Minced Pork and Mushroom in Lotus Leaf Wrap '!

Alas!! The filling is now totally void of those appealing, juicy mushroom bits, whilst the mince pork component is now dry and void of gravy....not unlike some dry frozen Shepard's Pie filling?!

2 strikes!........3 strikes and...

I’ve generally had normal experiences at Lucullus but recently had the most degrading and awful experience. I will not be returning again.

The cashier made a mistake and charged me the wrong size for the drink, then walked across the room to harass me as I picked up the drink. I restated the drink size I ordered, only to have her continue yelling she charged for a smaller size (I did not dispute she charged the wrong amount, I merely repeated my order. She made the mistake of charging me incorrectly). She kept saying I owed $1.40, I gave $1.50. Even after this she reprinted the receipt, proving her own mistake.

I did not gesture towards nor was I even close to the exit, however, this cashier was abusive in her treatment of a paying customer for a mistake she made and took zero responsibility for; not to mention the amount owing was $1.40.

My friend returned to the store shortly after we left, and said the cashiers were wondering loudly whether I had paid the $1.40.

I hope that $1.40 was worth losing a loyal customer of more than 10 years. I will also be sharing this experience with...
