Do not come here ‼️‼️ TERRIBLE SERVICE
I was genuinely appalled at the atrocious service and simple lack of manners that I experienced. And mind you... I was only in to grab take-out, so I can't imagine what the service is like for dine-in. Also mind you, that it was EMPTY as I went late afternoon, and they still couldn't be kind? You're not even busy.
I wanted to support this place because it seems like a "local business", but after this experience, I hope no one comes. I walked into the place, already on edge after reading reviews about how they are RACIST towards East Asians. This 16 year old girl doesn't even say hello, just points to the takeout menus, so I grab and order. She says "anything else?" after I paid (like no... nothing else? I just paid) and that's the only 2 words she said to me during this whole interaction. No "hello", "thank you", no smile - nothing. I found that to be so unpleasant and rude. Then, my food is ready and she hands me a napkin and fork, doesn't even put it in the takeout bag? Actually wait... she doesn't even hand it to me... she places it on the counter and just leaves it there. Doesn't wave me down, doesn't pass it to where I'm sitting - literally throws it on the counter and that's it? I didn't even know it was my order (they could have been getting calls/ubereats) so I looked at it and just left it. After about 10 minutes, I walk up to check and she's like "THATS your pasta"???? Like you couldn't have told me that 10 min ago?
Anyways, I would usually get over it but I think there's a level of respect that just isn't there. Absolutely rude behaviour from this girl who honestly should not work in a customer facing role.
Also the pasta is bland, not good, and overpriced. The bread was stone cold, and the parmesan cheese was stuck in big blocks... probably because it was straight out of KRAFT PARMESAN shaker bottles they brought from Costco! What an authentic Italian experience!

Read moreThis is a good Italian restaurant in Richmond Hill. Situated just across the Richmond Green Park, the restaurant is in a convenient location and was pretty packed when we arrived.
Initially nobody took us to a table because I guess it looked like we were going to order takeout? But after the confusion we got seated and handed real menus...
We ordered the Truffle Fries, Meat Lovers Pizza, and Lasagna (only available Friday and Saturday!).
The service was pretty prompt and the food came out at a reasonably quick pace.
The Truffle Fries were crispy but tasted "clean", not too heavy and not too oily. The ketchup and other sauce paired well with the seasoned fries. The best way to describe the flavour of the Fries would be well-seasoned with a hint of olive oil taste... which may just be truffle oil.
Then came the pizza, which was bigger than we expected. 6 slices of delicious pizza topped with their tomato sauce and cheese, and plenty of meats. It definetly tasted better than your run of the mill fast food pizza joint, and the pizza felt much less greasy than fast food pizza. The crust was a little hard and had a similar consistency to those crunchy pizza-flavored sticks you can buy in grocery store snack aisles, but the rest of the pizza was delicious.
The lasagna was also really good. The pasta was cooked wonderfully and neither too hard nor soggy. The amount of meat, sauce, and pasta was good, with none of the individual aspects overbearing or overpowering one another. It came with 2 pieces of bread sticks which were good as well.
Overall, this restaurant features good food, a comfortable environment, and prices that are as expected in this current day economy. It is definetly one of the better Italian restaurants in Richmond Hill and you can see why lots of people come here to dine in and order takeout.
I recommend, if you are visiting the city or live in Rhill, give this place a try.

Read moreIt breaks my heart to read some of these reviews cause it sounds like this place is under some new management that doesn't get what makes a place great and what drew repeat customers.
This was my first time here, and if I'm craving another sandwich, I'll definitely consider coming back. This is only going to focus on the sandwich, though we did order a few other items.
This sandwich has a lot of potential - it's massive! The bread they use was fresh, feels homemade, even if it's not. The veal, breaded chicken and eggplant were all good - done well, well seasoned, not dry, not overcooked.
I got both sandwiches loaded (the works), and that felt a bit skimpy - didn't feel the surcharge warranted the amount of mushrooms, cheese and onion they added. I'm sure COVID, increasing food costs, and maybe fewer people eating out hurt the business a little. It's tough. Gotta give 'em some credit.
The sandwich needs a bit more sauce; it's well seasoned and not salty, but needs a bit more sauce IMO. The choice of flatbread they use instead of a standard kaiser or focaccia is great! It's not as absorbent, so it doesn't fall apart, and has a nice chew to it. I like it, but perhaps for some they might feel it's not "right".
For the price, I think it's fair - since they cut it in half, and most people probably aren't going to finish both halves in a single sitting. I was hungry, so I did, and I was stuffed. But it was great!
Like I said, the meat's good, done well. There's a little lack of consistency with the meat - the veal was done better than the chicken. The chicken wasn't properly thinned out or even, so you had some really meaty bites, and then you had some bites with little to no meat. The veal was consistent throughout, as was the eggplant.
It's still worth it, it could just be...
