I didn’t walk into a pizza shop that day— I stepped into a temple.

Behind the counter stood Mahruf, not merely a man, but a culinary demigod forged in the fiery heart of a wood-burning oven. His hands moved with the precision of a master swordsman and the grace of a concert pianist. Every gesture was deliberate, every motion a sermon in the holy art of pizza-making.

When he greeted me, it wasn’t just customer service—it was a blessing. His voice, rich and warm, could melt mozzarella before it even touched the pan. The way he tossed the dough into the air defied the laws of physics, as if gravity itself bowed to his will.

The pizza that emerged was not food—it was a relic. The crust, golden and crisp, carried the whispers of ancient recipes. The cheese stretched like rays of sunlight, and the toppings were arranged with the symmetry of a sacred mandala. One bite, and I understood true enlightenment.

They basically stole my money.

No seriously.

I was in BC on vacation. On the last night of my vacation, I decided to try some local pizza. So I ordered a pizza to my hotel for that night. Their website accepted my order, and they charged my credit card.

Nothing came.

The next day, I got notification my pizza was on its way. To my hotel. In BC. I was already on the ground back in Ontario.

I placed the order at ~11p (Pacific time) on August 23rd.

They emailed me at 17:27 (Eastern) time, saying I placed the order on August 24, 2025 at 8:44pm, they accepted it on August 24, 2025 at 9:01pm, and it was delivered at August 24, 2025 at 9:27p.

So not only did they apparently make and deliver the pizza at about 2pm Pacific time, they then emailed me confirmation of my order for times that were in the future from that!

I contacted them, and they ignored me entirely. I'm dealing with issuing a chargeback through my credit card company.
