We were picking up my daughter from her international flight. We had her pick up 3 dogs for us to try. We got the Kurobuta Terimayo billed as most popular and is Kurobuta pork dog, teriyaki sauce, seaweed, fried onions and japanese mayo. Okonomi, 2nd popular and is kurobuta pork dog, Japanese mayo, fried cabbage, Japanese traditional sauce and bonito flakes. And oroshi because my husband likes radishes and it has pork bratwurst, radish (Daikon) green onions and special soy sauce. They were an interesting fusion of flavors.

Due to a cancelled flight, we had received a few meal vouchers and decided to spend it here. The staff was extremely patient and kind with us to help us maximize the value use of our vouchers, while being efficient to sort out our order (as there was a line beginning to form behind us). Despite our large order, we got our food very quickly and everything was delicious (especially given airport food standards). A huge thank you to the staff for being kind to folks stuck in a bit of a bad situation.

We needed a snack so decided to grab a Japadog at the Outlets. We ordered a Wagyu Terimayo and a Kurabuto Terimayo. The hot dogs themselves were good but really in the future I would not go for the wagyu as it was no better than a Costco all beef dog. The toppings were yummy. The matcha milk shake was good. Ume Shu cocktail was smooth. I had wanted a Samurai Rock but they were out of ingredients. They did say they were working on a new cocktail menu. Overall a good experience.

DON’T EAT HERE!

I ate at this JAPADOG at YVR and I would rate it as the worst restaurant at YVR.

-I got food poisoning after I ate here and literally felt my guts going upside down . I noticed rotten vegetables in my meal and a microwaved sausage that was half cooked.Being able to view the kitchen from the cashier, I immediately noticed some warning signs when they were preparing the meal.Hand washing was no where to be seen. Poor hygiene and sanitation. Caring of food looked terrible and seeing where it came from disgust me. -The menu is overpriced and portions are extremely small especially compared to Subways sandwiches although japadog is a hotdog place. -Although the staff was nice, I would highly not recommend eating here especially if you are departing on a flight from YVR Airport to reduce health risks like...

The last couple times I've gone the ordering is fine but the delivery is horrible. The staff need to be trained to call the#out louder. It's so busy and you can't hear what they are saying. This seems to be the consistent theme I've found when going here. The food itself is good, the staff are doing their best but I think it's a lack of leadership in having the system of delivery to the customer.

My order had a box of takoyaki on top which I didn't order. Even the receipt the girl had sitting on top of the order when she gave it to me didn't say that and I looked at her and said uhm this isn't mine but another staff behind her finally noticed on their receipts and she took it back. I understand staff may be new but that doesn't mean training and mentoring even if it's just a temporary job...

Wanted to try Wagyu and Cilantro and they are out of order. I had absolutely bad experience when placing an order. The cashier messed up the order and got confused with the combo order + an additional order of fries. In the process of fixing this order, they wasted approximately 25 minutes and ignored 5 customers (they have opted to go to nearby subway or A&W or Tim Hortons). Why did they place him as a cashier without training and also little to no knowledge of English communication. I needed to cancel the order which is...
