Pajo's Yvr Airport — Restaurant in Richmond

I don't know where the people leaving low scores for Pajo's at YVR airport have been getting their food, but I find it hard to believe they've actually eaten at Pajo's. I have been a customer for however many years this location has been open, and have never had less than perfect fish and chips, and I am fussy!

Yesterday was no exception: absolutely perfect halibut and chips. Yes, it's expensive, but that's not Pajo's fault. Fish seems to get costlier by the day, and halibut is one of the costliest. Some fish and chip places don't even bother offering it anymore, because of the high price demanded.

The wait was no more than 5 minutes for a serving of flaky delicious halibut in a crisp, light (not oily) batter. Chips were handcut, as expected, hot and fresh. Tartar sauce on the side (although in the case of the quality of Pajo's food, it wasn't needed). The perfectly cooked batter shattered as I bit into it, it was so just out of the fryer fresh. Absolutely no doubt this food was prepared to order. Bottomless soft drinks.

The counter server (Ernesto?) was friendly and knowledgeable. When I finished eating I was so impressed with the perfection of the food I went back to the counter to tell him so. He smiled and thanked me. Can't give anything but 5/5, again, to Pajo's YVR. It's so hard to find authentic fish and chips in Vancouver anymore, and it's a comfort to know Pajo's is still there, doing it...

What ever happened to your food and service? We were a regular in fact we would stay hungry to eat at your airport location before travel!

We ate at your airport location before we boarded our flights to Mexico for a vacation. The kitchen was very sloppy with the food and to make things worse we got sick to our stomach on the flights and ruined our first day of vacation because of the food we at at Pajos. We will not be eating at this location again there is something going on with you’re burger and onion rings (horrible made this time) or the oil has been re-used too many times with meat in it. The fact still remains that was out first meal of the evening and last, for two straight days only because your food gave us the stomach flu.

We ordered the veggie burger with onion rings and wife ordered the cheese burger with fries. We both were affected...

I don’t even know where to begin. I used to eat here ALL the time as an aviation employee. I recommended it to everyone, even if they had a stopover at the airport because it was so affordable. I recently stopped here to get my cod burger and it went from $7 to $14! What in the world? I asked if the burger had changed (because it was always a tiny piece of fish to begin with but okay for the price) and they said no. You should be ashamed for this 100% inflation.
