I usually dont like to leave reviews but honestly couldn't help myself due to my disappointment. I've only gone to Poke Bar for my pokes since covid and had a pretty good experience from the beginning (some inconsistencies but within tolerance) but today was just especially bad.
They've completely decreased their portion sizes (the small bowl is now used for a medium order) and my bowl was only about half full. I ordered 3 protein, all to be shrimp, and I counted to a total of 10 pieces of shrimp. Even the veggie portions have decreased. I also got the usual miso soup combo and the tofu pieces were super tiny, like the size of diced onion, whereas my boyfriend's miso soup didnt have even 1 piece of tofu. In my boyfriend's bowl, one of his protein choices was spicy salmon and that amounted to one plastic spoon full. I just feel like for $19 per medium bowl it should have more, or at least as much as it used to have.
And this is not to say that its due to new staff. While the staff did seem newer, she asked the supervisor/owner how much shrimp to put into the bowl and the supervisor seemed to indicate to her to stop grabbing more.
Its just such a shame because i really enjoyed the flavors and proteins available, and the service was nice but the portion has just...
Read moreI recently ordered four poke bowls from Poke Bar through a delivery app, with an expectation of a satisfying meal. However, the experience was far from satisfactory, primarily due to the portion sizes and pricing.
The cost of each poke bowl was around $20, which seemed steep, but acceptable if the quality and quantity justified it. Regrettably, this was not the case. The total bill exceeded $100, yet what we received was extremely underwhelming in terms of portion size. The servings were so small that they were more akin to a light snack than a proper meal.
This disparity was even more glaring when considering that three out of the four bowls were significantly lesser in quantity. Such inconsistency is not what one expects from a restaurant, especially when the prices are on the higher end.
In conclusion, the experience left me disappointed. When customers pay a premium, they anticipate a meal that is both fulfilling and consistent in quality. Unfortunately, PokeBar missed the mark in delivering an experience that matched the value of the...
Read moreImagine taking the time to come to a place and more than half of the options are "out of stock". I came an hour before the store closed.
I came again excited since I had a really good first experience here. I visited the store 8pm 26th April and there was an hour till closing. Tons of options were "out of stock" like brown rice and all the marinated fish except for the ground tuna. I would understand not refilling rice since that takes loads of time but it seemed like after the dinner peak they can't be bothered to mix and refill the marinated fish?? I saw there was spicy sauces left and asked if they could AT LEAST mix it with my proteins and she said no to every request. She was extremely lazy and didn't care at all that more than half of the protein wasn't available. It is clear that they just want to pack up and end the day. There's no care for the people who arrive in the last hour of the store opening and I've never seen such lazy disregard for customers. I will not be...
