Usually don't leave reviews but this is my first purchase with them and I probably won't be coming back. Placed an online order for a power supply for pickup in Richmond. A few days has gone by yet I haven't received a notification that it's ready (there is stock in all stores except Richmond) so I finally spoke with them on the phone and they said it may take a week to come from the Ontario warehouse. It's been over 2 weeks today (stock is still available at Burnaby and Vancouver) yet they told me it may take up to 3-4 months at times for stock to be shipped to this location. 3-4 months?! I asked to speak with a supervisor and manager and the staff member was reluctant to escalate it saying they'll tell me the same thing. The supervisor who finally assisted said it could be transferred in by the end of week from a nearby store. This is exactly my request 2 weeks ago. Extremely inexperienced and unprofessional staff. Great way to leave a first impression.
Feb 16th Update Finally got my email notification that my order is now ready for picked up. Unfortunately the $10 MIR had ended last night and I explained my situation to the manager on duty as I had placed this order 3 weeks ago within the eligible time frame of the MIR. He apologized and said there's nothing he can do and this is what it's going to be. I understand that it's a MIR but this delay was caused by the store especially when I had requested this to be transferred in couple weeks ago but they said it wasn't an option but somehow it was then possible. He explained to me it was Burnaby's Grand opening few weeks ago so transfers weren't allowed (but no further follow-up action was taken after their grand opening week). I asked if $10 can be taken off to offset the MIR that they had caused me to miss. He said taking off $10 is below cost, which is certainly not a customer's problem, and furthermore, the system doesn't allow him to change the price. Excuses after excuses, he then randomly mentioned them not being NCIX so their system is different. Not quite sure why he mentioned NCIX out of no where, but this purchase has nothing to do with a different retailer and the issue was only created because it wasn't properly addressed. Anyways, in the end he unwillingly and miraculously was now able to take $10 off the item. I'm fairly confident that had I not called them earlier this week, I'd still be without my order waiting up to 3-4 months as quoted for an Ontario shipment to come in. I appreciate that $10 was finally taken off but I had wasted 2 phone calls and 20 minutes of my time arguing over $10 when this shouldn't ever have been an issue from the very beginning if my web order was properly taken care of. Needless to say, my first experience with this chain has been extremely frustrating from inexperienced staff to unhelpful managers. Will definitely not...
Read more   Read moreI'd like to give it a 0-star if possible. Tried buying a SSD bracket today in their store at Richmond, BC. Went in and ask if they have the stock and was told no. I checked online for their inventory and turned out they do have 1 stock. Went in again after a few minutes and politely showing one of their employee the online inventory and at this point, things started went south. This particular employee started to get very impatient and instead of being professional, this employee repeatedly saying that I am confused and don't know anything about my pc in a condescending manner. I've tried explained to them (very patiently) why I perhaps need a ssd bracket but this employee did not care and again repeatedly said "you don't know anything about your pc". Later on while I was chatting with their store manager (mind you their store manager and the other employee on site whose name is Peter I believe, were actually nice and patient), this particular employee was still loudly speaking to me from the other side of the store "you don't know anything about your pc". Is such a way of treating a customer acceptable to Canada computer? Instead of staying professional and answering your customer's genuine question about a product, this employee went out of the way and repeatedly accused the customer "confused"; "not knowing your pc at all". Yes you did not see it wrong - repeatedly for like 20 times and even very loudly across the store. I am aware that CC has a not-so-good reputation for customer service with regards to online shopping but this is a really a new low for their in-store experience. For this particular store, it is at 4731 Mcclelland Rd #1130, Richmond, BC V6X 0M5. They have a good employee (Peter) and a very nice store manager (sorry I forgot his name), however please be aware and stay away of this other very...
The worst service ever. Even on the website said 14 days return/exchange, they will make tons of reasons to reject it. I bought an 8700k and z370 motherborad there. After days of using them, I found the cpu temperature was unusually highďźaverage 85 sometimes reach 90 when I play pubg.ďźSo I asked for an exchange.
At the first time they said dont bother with the 14 days policy on the website, just bring your system in and we will figure It out. Ok, I brought my whole system into the store and they said its because my watercooler was defectiveďźwhich I only used for one day.ďź;they suggested me to buy an Hyper 212 evo instead. I trusted them and bought the fan in their store and after another few days, the temperature went up to 90â when I play pubg at stock speedďźNo overclocking at all, runs automaticlly at 4.1 which should be 4.3 btw.ďź
So I went there again, this time they said they have to check the with cpu with their own system. I was like fine but what if you find the same thing as me. The technical guy saidďźâthe only reason for an exchange is that the cpu is defective, means that only if there is absolute no screen on the monitor when We test the cpu.â Even if on the website said 14 days exchange for cpu if opened.
Save yourself from troubles and just buy from xmazon or somewhere else. They have much better service and lower price.
Talking about price, they claimed that they have the price match policy. But when I showed them the price on xmazon they were like âWe only price match with local retail stores.â
Unless you absolutely needs something immediately, save your some time and money, dont...
