The RUDEST restaurant in Richmond. DON'T COME HERE
Food is average and service is extremely slow & poor.
Just had the most disappointing experience. Specifically with the tanned guy who seats at the reception. This guy had an unreasonably rude attitude and demonstrated terrible customer services skills! Awful for one to have to tolerate such behavior.
Five of us had an reservation for early evening and arrived on time but they reserved for the wrong time so we had to wait. Instead of apologizing this guy claimed that we were late for an hour and reluctant to give us a table. At that point there were many empty tables. We asked him nicely to double check but he suddenly become furious and said he was not responsible for reservation. He then looked at the reservation book for very long time and said "SEAT OVER THERE" in Mandarin with finger pointing to a table. It was very unpleasant and completely ruined our mood. I personally will never go back. I wish he doesn't treat others in the same way.
There are plenty of great restaurants in this area. Eat...

Let's start with that we ordered udon to add to the chicken pot. The waiter misheard and dropped the fish tofu (similar pronounciation) into the pot. After we pointed out the mix up, the waiter calmly pick up the fish tofu from the pot, and presumably rinse those off and serve to the next customer.
That was gross by itself. But the fact that we were halfway finished eating the pot made it worse.
I feel bad for the next customer who order fish tofu. If this is how they handle food in front of the customer, god know what kind of hydiene practice goes on in the back.
Or the fact the chicken is full of bones and tiny piece of meat. Or that the servers had indifferent attitude. I had such a high hope and this place turned out to be a big flop.
Other than the sad hygiene, overpriced menu, small portion, lack of meat and bad customer service, I guess this place is...
Read moreThis place specializes in a wine-flavoured chicken hot pot. I like the rich flavour and it goes well with most common hot pot ingredients.
They have limited seating, but this place is primarily for pickup and delivery orders. I usually get the large chicken pot to go and reheat it at home (ask for the REHEAT option if not eating immediately, so the chicken isn't overcooked), where I put in additional hot pot ingredients I get from the supermarket, and make my own rice. I think this approach gives me the best value.
The menu can be a bit overwhelming if it's your first visit, but there's a system to it, and the owner is nice...
