Good food, solid menu, great service

Gotta say, I'm rarely ever complaining about anything, which I'm fine with, but maybe not so much what everybody wants to hear. I WILL try to be more constructive and detail-oriented, to be helpful!

That said, I can't complain about hubby and my visit to K-Town Sushi and Grill! Wished I got a different item from my husband, maybe next time. The location was slightly out of my usual route, so it never crossed my mind to visit until that day. There is a decent amount of parking, and also street parking, where you don't have to pay.

Ordered: Bulgogi Deopbap - beef Jeyuk Deopbap - pork

Liked: The idea of plating the side dishes onto one bowl is a nice idea, saves on some space; good flavours, reasonable for the price; flavours are pretty standard, nothing too spicy. Pork wasn't too spicy for me, but it might be for those not liking spice- there are other nice options. The beef had that nice soy flavour, which I always enjoy to pair with rice as I take a bite.

Tidy, clean open restaurant space Has space to sit more than tables of 4

Not so liked: As the plating is great for saving space, sauces do mix together on the plate. If someone doesn't like mixing flavours together, that might not be a dish to order?

Maybe not super intimate of a space if someone wanted an intimate atmosphere

Service: The restaurant was mostly full that day we went in, and we didn't feel ignored- food came in around 15 minutes. Our server was very helpful, and when he asked about the taste of the food, he did look like he cared about what we thought. Our dishes came with miso, which wasn't too salty for me (but I do like salt), so I'll say that is a plus.

Overall: I really should try other menu items next time- I didn't have any complaints, but I didn't have a dish that was totally out of this world. However! Good place to eat, with...

Our meal started with a warm bowl of miso soup, which was in perfect contrast to the small snowflakes that had just begun to fall outside. This was followed by the best tempura I've ever eaten (sorry mom!) super light, crispy and flaky on the outside without losing any flavour of the kabocha or sweet potato and a well balanced tentsuyu dipping sauce. I went with the Samgyeopsal Junsik, delicious thinly sliced pork belly dipped in just spicy enough ssamjang and eaten atop a mouthful of warm, comforting rice. The ingredients were top quality, prepared and presented petfectly, and the entree well balanced with a fresh salad, miso and some warm veggies. The service was attentive and friendly and I enjoyed the upbeat vibes! I will be eating here again, and bringing more...

I am a very picky person when it comes to food and I am even more picky when it comes to Japanese food, but I am willing to give this restaurant a 5 star. First, very convenient location. Second, the food are very tasty. Third, the restaurant goes extra mile for food and service. Plating is great and made with care. The staff are friendly. My friend ordered something and did not eat it quick since he talked a lot, a server saw that and approached nicely and asking if he did not like the food. Indeed the food was fantastic, but it was the server that made me want to go back again. I hope the food quality of this place can always stay the same, unlike the other Korean fried chicken...

Wonderful experience in this restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly. The menu has lots of delicious options. I ordered the tempura udon and veggie kimbap. The tempura was a good serving size, and was crispy and fresh. The udon broth was lightly flavored, with a good serving of noodle and lots of veggies (cabbage, onion, mushrooms and some broccoli)! The kimbap was hearty and had lots of filling. I prefer my kimbap with a little more traditional, but it was still delicious and a good find since not many restaurants have this dish. So happy to have found a location that does.
