Story :
I came here to check it out in the evening a few nights ago, the lights were on and it looked like they were open so I went in , there was a guy standing at the front when I first entered, I went over to the frozen yogurt to see what flavors they had no one came over to me to ask if I would like to sample any of the flavors so I decided to walk up to the front and now there was a lady standing there, I asked her if I could sample a flavor she looked at me and said very rudely " are there no cups over there, as she was looking at the back of the store''? I looked over and saw 1 cup sitting there so I went over grabbed it and helped myself to sample the flavors. I was trying to decide what flavor I wanted and then she she said abruptly " We are actually closed just to let you know" she made me feel unwanted and rushed, so I left the store without buying anything. If you were closed you should of turned the signs off and told me this as I was walking in ....... not impressed with this...
Read moreI left this review half a year ago after the owner thought it was appropriate marketing to post an picture of a stranger without their permission on social media. Not only that but they mocked this stranger's weight and jeered that the man needed this business's products. When I was in school that was called bullying, cyber bullying, and it wasn't acceptable behavior for a child let alone a fully grown adult with a business.
Now I've learned that their menu features "Ghetto toast" with avocado, smoke salmon, onions, and capers. I.E. the least ghetto thing I could probably imagine, it's just missing gold leaf. It shouldn't come as a surprise that ghetto is considered a pejorative and a slur.
This isn't an earthshattering mistake but I feel like it's just further evidence of an owner who does not carry themselves with as much thought and intention as I expect from people who should be supporting their...
Read moreOMG what an amazing find! Fresh made food and generous portions! We had soup, a bowl, rice, and kombucha! All seemingly sourced locally, yeah!
Start with my meal - soup, rice, and kombucha. The soup was tomatoes basil, cashew, and pepper soup. The cashew was ground but not puréed giving the soup good texture. There was just enough basil to as that distinct flavor without overpowering the tomatoes. The pepper added a nice zip to it as well. Because I wanted a more solid meal - I added a side of jasmine rice which I promptly pour into the soup. Yes it was DELICIOUS! The kombucha was a citrus ginger that was tasty without being too zippy.
Hubby got the pacific rim bowl that had quinoa, spicy broccoli, grilled chicken breast, slaw, baby spinach, rice, tapenade type of dressing. He devoured it in nothing flat!
Planning on making this a regular stop when we visit Victoria...
