Resto La Pataterie — Restaurant in Saint-Eustache

Ordered a hamburger 1/2 poutine and a drink combo with a hot dog steamy. Poutine is good, but not for the price they sell it at. Hamburger is bland, nothing special, and the steamy is actually the best thing. Price wise, I find it a tad to expensive for the amount of food you're getting. Total for everything was $20. I know it's not McDonald's etc , but poutine size could have been bigger, and maybe season the burger with salt and pepper. The combo price isn't much of a deal. 1$ discount(?) might as well skip the drink, and order everything separately and get an extra hot dog why not. Food for me is 3.5/5. Service though was fantastic no doubt. I just wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. I actually came here for the poutine, but I have had better than this place. I had to steamy hot dogs because they reminded me of my youth and I ordered a small order of french fries, but they came fairly large in a tray beside the two hotdogs. Totally enjoyable. These are the old type old time fries. Very greasy very good. The only thing is they don’t take credit cards they only take in track debit cards and I had an American debit card so it didn’t work. I had to give them American cash and they had no idea what to do with it and treated it like...

Je roulais tranquille quand j’ai vu un p’tit gars marcher avec une grosse boîte de hot-dogs, le sourire jusqu’aux oreilles. Il avait l’air de rentrer chez lui avec un trésor. J’ai littéralement fait demi-tour — mon instinct a dit : «suis les hot-dogs».

Je me retrouve à La Pataterie, et là… jackpot. L’endroit est nickel, plus propre que ma propre cuisine (et j’essaie pourtant). Le staff super chill, souriant, prêt à aider sans te juger même si tu prends quatre hot-dogs tout seul. Ils étaient excellents, bien grillés, bien garnis, et servis vite fait bien fait.

Et là où ils m’ont conquis à vie : le ketchup et la mayo gratuits. Oui, t’as bien lu. Pas de petit sachet vendu 25 cents, non non — généreusement posés, comme au bon vieux temps. Et les serviettes ? Des draps de plage. Solides comme ton ex qui n’a jamais répondu à tes textos. Ça change des machins qui se déchirent si tu éternues à côté.
