Catapult Coffee & Studio — Restaurant in Saint John

I phoned the manager about my allergies to the lit scented candles on the tables. He said the customers love the scented candles and they would continue to have them at the table. He did offer to sit me at a table with no lit candle. This would not work because the smell still bothers me. I also feel that lit candles are a hazard to small children. I do not know why you would have scented candles when food is being served. It affects the taste of the food. The manager was abrupt with me and not concerned about health issues. It is unfortunate that this cafe cannot be on my list for myself and friends.

I have been going to Catapult for 3 years and only recently noticed SCENTED candles on the tables. I DO NOT have a problem with NON SCENTED candles. I do find it hard to believe I am the ONLY person who is allergic to SCENT. I still believe SCENTED candles around food is not a good idea.

As a Saint Johner, I can clearly say that this is the best cafe I ever been to, despite being Saturday and one of the chilliest days I have seen, the cafe operators let us in 2 minutes before the opening time. From that moment for me it was like stepping into a wonderland, I immediately browsed the place, saw the all the beautiful mugs hanging around. I ordered a cappuccino, wonderfully served great price, I went to the back and found my couch sanctuary and fire place, Saint John's first original fire place! Loved it, so authentic, I will come back here as soon as I can, I will be having my first date with my girl here in new year ❤...wonderful experience...! Must come...

I had a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I ever had and the bacon was the perfect amount of crispiness, not too hard and not too chewy. Really lovely staff and cares about making their drinks and food with really good quality and gets it to you very quickly. They also sell a lot of things like beautiful mugs and bolls made from their pottery studio. They also sell things like candles, coffee making equipment, and much more.
