Wanted to explore more of the south shores offering for Japanese food. Was intrigued by this place because of the high ratings and the price of the dishes seemed very reasonable. We ordered a selection of sushi and makis along with some cooked dishes. The quality of the fish was very good which impressed me! The nigiri were so fresh and the specialty rolls were orignal and delicious. My favourites were the Rock n roll as it tasted so citrusy and fresh with the cucumber as the wrapper. I also enjoyed the st lambert roll and the diamant roll. Note that you can only order the platters for takeout as I was disappointed that I couldn’t order them to dine in. The cooked dishes however were disappointing. The chicken teriyaki was too peppery and was a bit dry. The assorted tempura dish was great value but I found the batter too thick. It wasn’t light and airy. The vibes were great and I appreciated the effort put in the decor of the restaurant. Overall a solid restaurant but would only come here to order their sushi and specialty rolls since the fish was of great quality for the price. Quality comparable to Shoji but more affordable. Would not recommend the cooked dishes as a restaurant like Sushi Yasu does...

Having tried several well rated sushi joints in the last 8 months, I had nearly given up my quest for good sushi in Montreal. Well, I'm always on the lookout anyway, and last night my friend wanted to meet up after work in st-lambert. A quick Yelp! search guided me to gyoka sushi for the first time. It won't be my last!

Walking in, the long and fairly narrow space is dominated by a open kitchen and a beautiful mini bar area. They have some cool japonais music playing that sets a japonais vibe.

Settling in with the menu, we were searching for some selections that fresh sashimi, rolls and our waiter was quick to point out several options for us . We ended up with edamame, some kind of special roll and beef tataki, shrimp Nigiri, and salmon poke ball. I prefer Nigiri and sashimi for Hamachi, Salmon, Scallop, and Toro, all of which were excellent.

Service was excellent and we really enjoyed our visit. So much so that we've already made our next reservation for...

Gyoka is hands down one of my favorite places to dine, and it holds a very special place in my heart. My boyfriend and I have visited multiple times, and every experience has been nothing short of amazing. What sets gyoka apart is not only the incredible quality of their sushi but also the outstanding value they offer. The price point is perfect, especially considering

The service is always exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about the making your experience memorable. there's a warmth that makes you feel relaxed and welcome.

The sushi itself is consistently fresh and high-quality, and we love that we're able to enjoy good quality sushi without breaking the bank.

Every time we leave, we're not just full, but we leave with great memories. If you're looking for a place that combines fantastic food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere, gyoka is the place to be. Can't...

Food quality: excellent Food I ordered, and my rating: gyoka, tri-colour sashimi with side of rice, fujisan(favorite of the supper, it's torched salmon with cream cheese in a roll, very tasty, i highly recommend ! ) Food presentation: very good arrangement and lots of colours Service: excellent, very kind waiter and waitress! Venue decor: asian maximalist decor, dim lighting and aesthetic Seated? Yes Takeout? Yes Come back? Yes, with a date! Note: when ordering, the secret to the right amount of food is 1 or 1.5 roll per person (1 roll= 8 or 10 pieces) + sashimi. Please Like👍 if this review helped you!
