La Petite Boite à Lunch — Restaurant in Saint-Sauveur

This hidden gem in Sauveur is an absolute must!! My very first time this weekend and I cannot believe I had not known about this place before!!!! A very quaint place. We (my daughter and I)went in for lunch, and honestly, I did not know what to expect. My daughter was recommended this place by HER friend, and I second that recommendation! The options, while not extremely large, are enough. We took a trio, which consisted of a sandwich, a salad and either a beverage or cupcake. We chose the beverage. We split the trio as we saw the size of the sandwiches and we knew we could not eat one trio each lol. The staff was extremely pleasant. I had to look around the place because it. Was. So. Pleasing!! The prices are extremely reasonable. It cost less than 20$ for our meal, and these days, that's great. We ended up sitting downstairs and we could not stop admiring the decor. The details, the decor, the hidden gems. An eye feast. The server brought us our lunch. And delicious with a capital D. We split the Parfait sandwich, with a couscous salad. We had chosen a bottle of water as we are not big beverage drinkers. Water is our game. While we did get a bottle of water, there were water dispensers available should you require more requenching. That was a nice touch. This was an extremely pleasant experience for us both and I believe we will be returning. I do intend to try out this...

I really enjoy the soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts here. I've had a few different versions of each, and they're always fresh, high quality, and taste good. Their cookies in particular are to die for.

On the contrary, I've had their "special occasion" meals a few times (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day), and I was not as impressed. The soup and salad were excellent like usual, but both times, the entire main course was covered in a creamy sauce. This made it oily and too rich, and I would've enjoyed the dish more without the creamy sauce everywhere. I didn't taste the individual flavours of each food, but rather just the sauce. This is the best place for prepared meals and sweets. Their soups are also amazing. Dominic is an absolute stud. Every single time I come here, I’m more impressed. The gluten free carrot cake is out of this world. They also have sandwiches ready to grill up so it’s a lot of different options that are all outstanding, and super convenient.
