Truly an amazing experience of food and mood. Iāve travelled throughout Japan and experienced all kinds of cuisine - and am so happy Salt Spring Island has such an authentic experience like this. The food is made with love and talent. The food truck is located on such a beautiful food truck park - that feels straight out of a movie.
I live in Victoria where 90% of Japanese restaurants are not authentic. What you get here is what you would come to love and experience in Japan by a chef who is passionate to share culinary expression of food.

Google says they're closed on Sundays but we walked by the area to look at other food trucks and they were actually open on the Sunday (lucky us!) We got the Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki with noodles, the gyozas and I forgot the last dish but they were all really good! My husband and I missed asian food while on the island lol and this hit the spot for us.
The owner speaks minimal English. You order by filling out the paper form in front of the stand.
There was covered seating in the area so it was a a nice little spot for lunch before we caught the ferry back...

Someone ahead of us walked up and started speaking Japanese that apparently didn't make sense, yet the staff were very gracious about it.
