Ordered their lunch feature- $15 ham & cheese sandwich + black bean soup, and their $18 cod fish burger. It took a while for our order to be taken and after waiting slightly over half an hr for the food, we were so hungry and wolfing the food down before I realized wait, why is my burger so spicy? Turns out the server misheard my order and gave me the $21/$22? crispy chicken burger (the chicken itself was actually nice but 1) it was spicy so not enjoyable for my weak taste buds and 2) wasn’t a very substantial piece of chicken). The sandwich and soup were also quite sub par. In all fairness, I appreciated that the server listened to my notes of not wanting onions or tomatoes and that she was very nice and apologetic about the mistake, even discounting the whole burger after. And maybe they were also short staffed that day? Not sure. Overall mixed feelings. We were looking forward to this based on other reviews but couldn’t be as happy with what we ended up with. It wasn’t the worst experience and we were still grateful for the server’s excellent attitude in handling an issue but personally hard to come away recommending this restaurant as a whole to anyone else.

Awesome burgers, delicious gravy! I had the salmon burger. It was awesome, devoured it. We look forward to coming here every time we visit salt spring. Customer service is excellent as well. EDIT - came back October 2024 and enjoyed the cabbage rolls. Wow! That house made salad dressing is delicious! Highly recommend! EDIT - returned in October 2025 - the lasagna….WOW!!! No nice I ordered it twice and we are only here three nights! Food, service, everything is absolutely amazing! That house made garlic salad dressing is absolutely delicious, wings are awesome too!

The food did not arrive over one hour. The server did not even come to our table while we were waiting and when we were gonna ask if the order went through, she was like “what’s up?” The food was underwhelming: fish was over cooked, rice was stinky, I could not touch it. This was our last dinner in the island and we were very disappointed. Again, the server did not check if everything is okay and we had to walk to her to ask for water. The restaurant was not even busy. We payed over $70, which was obviously over priced. Will never come back again.

First the positives; It was pretty clean and my server was pleasant....Now the negatives; 2 cooks sitting on the public street out back smoking (so gross I don't wanna see that). The first server I saw ignored me. My Clubhouse sandwich was 1 centimetre thick and the bacon was piled on one half only and the bread was soggy...like actually wet on one side. The gravy was terrible. It tasted like a fish was dipped in it and/or stored uncovered in a stinky fridge. COME ON CHEFS! PAY ATTENTION AND GET SERIOUS ABOUT FOOD PRODUCTION! FOOD IS LIFE! LOVE IT...
