Dolly's Jerk Joint — Restaurant in Sarnia

Tonight I ordered from this place: my neighbor. I've ordered several times since the place opened a few years ago, but my limited income doesn't allow me to buy take out very often. When i do...it's most often Dolly's. Ordered at 4:30 pm and told her I'd pick it up at 5:30pm to give her enough time to make it (all food is freshly made and prepared from scratch). When I arrived at 5:30, she was super apologetic, as she had been hit with multiple orders from other customers that wanted their food sooner (since it was around the supper hour) and she hadn't yet had time to prepare my order. I didn't mind and at the time, I inquired about if she had bottled her jerk sauce for sale to the public. She said yes, and said she would include a bottle with my order free, to make up for my order not having yet been made. I thanked her for her gift to me; as I didn't expect her to give it to me for nothing. When I arrived at 6pm to retrieve my order; she also gave me an extra beef patty. I never asked for anything special; but Dolly just threw in these 2 extra items at no charge (a $14-16 value, before tax). Her unexpected act of kindness was much appreciated and also shows to her business acumen. Dolly's takes care of their customers AND sells great tasting Caribbean food. If I could give 5+++++++ stars I would!!! Upon entering Dolly’s the vibe and energy is so warm and welcoming. That’s all coming from Dolly herself and the beautiful passionate woman she is and what she cooks up is truly coming from her heart and soul. Her passion really shines through the whole experience. Her cooking is amazing. I am visiting town and I’m so happy I found this incredible restaurant by Dolly. I had the jerk chicken and it was so delicious with the meat so tender and moist that it fell off the bone. The flavours were so good. I also had the patty, which is made from scratch also and it’s the best patty I’ve ever tasted. Lastly, I had the soup which was a pumpkin soup and the flavours were so nice too with just the right consistency and a little bit of a kick to it! I LOVED everything and especially the service from Dolly. EVERYONE GO TRY IT!!! It’ll be your favourite new craving!!! I’m going back tomorrow to try the chicken roti and I can’t wait!!! One word: WOW. Let me tell you, I’ve never had jerk chicken before, and I’ll tell you, I was blown away. The chicken was moist, had an amazing earthy flavour complimented by the sweet jerk sauce, then you have the rice which was in the next level when paired with jerk sauce. The service was amazing as well, the owner was very polite and had an amazing positive attitude and had no problem subbing the coleslaw with extra rice (I have a mayo phobia). And the atmosphere and smell of the restaurant was amazing too, I felt like I was in the heart of the Caribbean! This was an awesome introduction to Jamaican food and I will definitely come back in the near future. One other thing to mention is that the price:what you get is very good as well, for the same price you could get 1/3 the amount of food at a fast food joint, so you get a nice amount of food per dollar here and is very much worth it.
