Unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience at Hana. From the moment we needed assistance, the staff were unresponsive and didn’t communicate politely or respectfully. The person who seemed to be in charge spoke English fluently but acted as if she didn’t, switching to another language while I was trying to explain a health concern.

I began feeling nauseous and had a panic attack (despite not being allergic to seafood), and politely asked if I could step outside for a few minutes to breathe and return to my food. Instead of showing empathy, they insisted I pay and leave immediately because the restaurant was closing soon. We had barely begun our second round at the buffet, but were pressured to either finish everything within minutes or throw it out and go.

To make things worse, I later found out through translation that they had made rude comments about how much we ordered. When I asked for help, they even told me to “ask your girlfriend” instead of speaking to me directly, despite knowing English. The attitude only changed once they found out I’m a professional photographer who shoots for restaurants.

On top of the poor service, the desserts were extremely disappointing. The cakes and mousses tasted stale and far from fresh. It was honestly upsetting—I had been looking forward to a good experience, but left feeling disrespected, unwell, and incredibly disappointed. I almost cried from how bad it all turned out.

Spending nearly $100 for two people and being treated this way was not worth it. Hospitality matters, especially when someone is clearly in distress—and sadly, that basic human courtesy was...

Looking for a Mother's Day surprise? Well, you will get one here when you get your bill! We went today at 11:30 for lunch, our waiter presented the "Mother's Day" special as though it was a deal, they're doing the dinner menu ALL day...what they neglected to mention was they are actually charging dinner prices ALL day! So our lunch for 2 adults ended up being $65 for LUNCH which is insane! Admittedly Hana has good food, but it's by no means THAT good, there is NOWHERE in Sarnia that has food worth $65 for lunch! As we were leaving I heard a number of people just as upset as we were! That little "surprise" was actually WAY out of my budget so there goes lunches for the rest of the week for me, thanks Hana! Up until this experience Hana USED to be my absolute favorite place to go eat, now I will never return! I feel bad for the large groups of people we saw come in after us, who's bill will be a surprise $50-100 more than they were counting on as well! Please let your friends know, this unethical practice has ruined my day, possibly even my week, I hope to prevent it from ruining anyone else's! There was NO signage to let you know of the price hike, there was no verbal warning to advise of the price hike, as I said our waiter presented it as though they were offering the dinner MENU all day (you know the 5-10 items only available during dinner which we didn't even order any of it anyways!) it was NOT explained or even remotely implied that we would be charged dinner prices at 11:30 in...

Hanna Japanese Restaurant in Sarnia is a good spot to experience different types of Japanese cuisine. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, with a buffet option that provides unlimited food at fixed prices. This makes it a convenient choice for those looking to try a bit of everything.

However, it's worth noting that most of the non-vegetarian options are raw, which might be challenging if you're not a fan of raw meat. Despite this, the restaurant does a great job with the quality and presentation of the dishes.

The atmosphere at Hanna Japanese Restaurant is warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that makes you feel at home. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations or navigating the menu.

One of the highlights is the ample parking space, making it easy to find a spot without any hassle. The dining areas are spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable setting for your meal.

In summary, Hanna Japanese Restaurant in Sarnia is a decent place to explore Japanese cuisine dishes. The friendly staff, good parking facilities, and pleasant dining areas add to the...

Hana Japanese Restaurant is a clean, modernly decorated place. It was fairly quiet on the Sunday evening we dined there. They offer both an all you can eat (23.99) and al a carte menu. The positives: the quality of the fish was decent, sauces were balanced and not overly salty or sweet and the service was nice, albeit not very quick. The negatives: the sashimi portions are extremely meager, both thin and small. The avocado in the California rolls are raw and crunchy, and the spicy tuna is not-so-spicy. Also, the BBQ salmon neck is deep fried pretty heavily leading to a slightly greasy salmon with a thick skin. Overall, an ok place for dinner. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes ok. Not a place to showoff the best that Sarnia has to offer.

Really disappointing experience. Wanted to try out this restaurant & upon entering it looked nice. Once seated it was clearly not maintained & dirty. After being seated it took nwarly 15 mjnutes to get a menu. Once putting our orders in we received 3 items. One was still cold, the salad had chunky dressing, but the wonton soup was okay. Then a whole table came in with at least 6 or more people. They received all their food before we receive the rest of our items. Overall bad services, heated was pumping one minute & freezing the next. The server was nice though. . Ended up leaving due to how bad of an experience it was, Wont be returning.
