Tandoori Chaska — Restaurant in Sarnia

After leaving them a super good review based on a couple of take outs I am now changing it to a not so good review because of a HORRIBLE dine in experience. We sat and ordered 4 dishes for 3 people, one of which was for my little 5 year old (samosas). First dish showed up 35 minutes later by itself, a plate of chicken seekh kabab that we got full eating cuz the other 2 dishes showed up close to an hour after ordering. We ordered 1 chicken tikka masala and one butter chicken and they gave us two butter chickens instead. Not to mention our 4th dish for my little son didn't show up and he had to fill up on bread and after asking the server 2-3 times how long and she telling us almost ready she comes back and tell us that they are making it just now. We were not happy with the bad service and asked for take-out containers packed our food paid (tipped despite the bad service) cuz they weren't curtious enough to offer us a discount or anything like that after realizing we were visible upset. Another server came and apologized for the original servers mess up and explained that it was her first day. Although I understand that prospective of a business then maybe she shouldn't have been left alone on her first day cuz we had to explain to her about 8 times what a ginger ale was and we had to ask for our drinks again and again till we finally got them. The food is good but honestly am gonna have to find somewhere else to go from now on due to the bad service. If you do buy any food from this place I HIGHLY recommend against dining in just do take out....

Tandoori Chaska in Sarnia is a delightful gem for anyone craving authentic North Indian flavors! From the moment you arrive, you'll appreciate the well-organized space, ample parking, and easy accessibility. But the real star of the show is the food – truly outstanding!

During my visit today, I had the pleasure of trying the lamb biriyani and the chicken tikka platter, and both were simply amazing. The biriyani was fragrant and flavorful, with tender lamb that melted in my mouth. The chicken tikka was perfectly marinated and grilled, offering a delightful smoky char. These dishes are definitely must-tries!

The restaurant also boasts plenty of seating, creating a comfortable dining environment. The staff members I encountered were incredibly kind and welcoming, which added to the positive atmosphere.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to address the waiting times for service. While the staff was lovely, it did take a considerable amount of time for someone to take our order, which was a bit frustrating. It seemed they might be understaffed for the number of patrons.

Despite this, the exceptional quality of the food makes Tandoori Chaska a place I would highly recommend. With a little attention to the speed of service, this restaurant could easily become a five-star destination for North Indian...

Today (May 12 2024) we went to Tandoori chaska at 8.30pm. They made us to wait for 20 minutes even there are many vacant seats. Then 'Preet' employee of Tandoori Chaska take us to an unclean wet table, given plates with stains of curry. We ordered 6 orders and also cauliflower 65, tea and coffee. They served cauliflower 65 after 1 hour and 9:45pm Preet came and told we need to change our order or cancel 2 of our orders. We had wasted 1 hr 30min in Tandoori Chaska without food. When I called Tandoori Chaska after heading out asked want to talk to manager, Preet said she is the manager and after hearing our complaints she had given the phone to Mr. Manish who said he is the owner of Tandoori Chaska, such an arrogant man he talked so rudely with me, as he says 'today is Mother's day so only reserved seats were available and you guys showed up all of sudden' but this was never told us when we entered the restaurant at first.
