Maud's Variety — Restaurant in Sarnia

I was lucky enough to be invited to perform at Mauds as part of their birthday celebration, and I was just blown away.

From the amazing atmosphere, to some of the best lager I've had in quite some time, to the amazing staff and owner, I absolutely love Maud's 🙏 Josh is awesome 😎 He's extremely kind, can spin a heck of a set, has great taste in music (cough cough 😏) and has created such a nice environment and community in the heart of Sarnia.

Every member of staff was also absolutely wonderful. Being extremely kind and attentive, and also making us feel right at home 💖

They have a super cool arcades cabinet set up there (I'm a sucker for Tetris 😅) with a ton of awesome games, a wonderful vibe, amazing drinks, one of the best pretzels I've ever had, just a wonderful place 🙂‍↕️

If you're in Sarnia, or planning on visiting, you're missing out if you don't visit Maud's 🙌 a perfect 5/5 ⭐'s

P.s. if you're tall, mind your head on the bathroom stall 😅 I bonked mine pretty bad 😂

Was once a great environment for said. altho noticed prices may vary depending on favor or priority. also we brought up factor that we previously just paid less going their days prior an in turn after the basic dispute they already provided our 2 drinks cracked & paid for & had no other choice but to stick to basically inhale them or poor them out knowing the attendant was already not impressed but still served in turn trapping myself as well as my legally blind spouse into the situation. we drank them fast & i was polite enough to bring them up to the counter shortly after as well as mentioned it wasn't getting a great review for such being it was just before Christmas we were degusted by the gossip & frowned faces apon arrival. we live with in the village and now will rarely support such or promote much for said.. major disappointment especially just learning of our moms "Cancer diagnosis" We wernt impressed at all but left peacefully other then the intoxicated people out front laughing we may have spewed a few words but in all due time was sadly necessary for the caliber of ignorance

Foods great & bands rock. the environment is awesome but otherwise not...

Would have given 4 stars if we didn't wait approximately and at least 15 minutes for someone to take notice and come to greet us at our table. Staff are centered around the bar and kitchen area and should consider checking on the seated patrons regularly. The patio was open too, so staffing needs to be looked at or organization of staff. Didn't seem like anyone had charge of any areas and staff were all over so that creates patrons to be overlooked. Very friendly when we were greeted. Simple bar finger food and appetizer style menu only. Perfect for a drink and to share some snacks/apps. Love the decor and has a great vibe about it. $7 tall boys was a nice surprise! Cocktails are around $13 and apps range from $13 to under $25ish. Will give it another try in the future. Wheelchair accessible to get inside but unsure if they have an accessible washroom, though I believe that would be the case vs today's society. Maybe they can answer this as we would stay longer next visit if they do. We only noticed the stairwell down to the basement...
