I can’t comment on the service and atmosphere only because I have used. Uber eats to deliver my food from this restaurant. The very first time I ordered the legendary Shawarma bowl and I didn’t really like it. I then saw that they had the shish tawook Option for the regular bowl and the legendary bowl and I really prefer that and really like it. The only issue is my bowls are always cold. I usually get the base of rice and salad so I know that the salad would be cold obviously as well as a lot of the toppings, but the chicken is always cold almost as if it comes straight out of the fridge. Besides that I have really started to love the regular and legendary bowls after trying it a few times and now I’m addicted lol. I’m not Muslim, but I absolutely love that. The food is Halal because I prefer Halal food. The other thing that I have tried is the bacon and cheese Manaeesh and it’s OK. I find that sometimes it has crunchy parts, which is a really big turn off and other times it’s perfect without the weird crunchy parts which I assume is just a burnt pieces of the meat. The third thing I’ve tried is the Kunefe. It’s definitely not my favourite and I haven’t had more authentic kunefe, But it’s just alright. I have had both the traditional and the butterscotch flavor, and I have to say the butterscotch is much better. So overall, I have enjoyed the takeout, but I wish that the bowls were warmer or at least the chicken. I recommend this chain restaurant if you want Middle Eastern type food with a Canadian twist. I would have given a higher review if the bowls...
Read moreThere’s multiple different reasons as to why I’ll never eat at this place ever again. Allow me to list them.
Their “boutine” is the furthest thing from fries, gravy and cheese as I’ve ever seen. Their boutine sauce does not complement the fries anymore than it complements the feta garnish or garlic sauce that it’s topped with. Tomato soup is what I liken the dish to. I got their “Bacon Caesar shawarma wrap” 😑😑 which in theory makes you go “they can’t possibly mess up exploring this option as a dish”. This place proved to me that 1+1 does not always equal 2. Caesar shawarma on its own sounds like a match made in heaven. Putting it in a wrap should’ve been a slam dunk. This was absolutely not the case. The chicken was as bland as could be. Standard chicken shawarma has more taste so I’m not sure how they manage to have the chicken in their Caesar wrap taste this emotionless. No depth what so ever. Just cardboard in a wrap. The Caesar dressing itself has very few redeemable qualities but not enough to carry this wrap on its shoulders. As with the croutons and bacon. The wrap itself is grilled after assembly which again, 2 points for gryfindor, but somehow they even manage to mess that up. All I taste is grill marks and charred flour resulting in a bitter atmosphere that even the Caesar couldn’t...
Read moreI went today with some friends for lunch, I ordered a wrap but simply asked for the contents to be put in a bowl instead of the wrap as I could not have the wrap. The bowls they had were not to my liking, and I ordered a Diet Pepsi, I paid for my meal using the iPads, the person made my order and brought it up to the counter, it was a wrap and a Pepsi, I said oh I ordered a Diet Pepsi she informed me they didn’t have one so I would need to have the Pepsi, and I said oh I can’t have the wrap I just need the contents in a bowl. She said no. I can’t do that for you. I asked why when my order came up she didn’t inform me of that. I said I’m not asking for anymore than what I would get in the wrap, I just can’t eat the wrap. My friends by this time were already eating, so I grabbed my food and sat there while they finished. I left with the Pepsi I couldn’t drink and went home to take apart the wrap and eat the contents, but after it sitting for 30 mins it was soggy and not very tasty. If she would have just given me a bowl I could have taken it apart myself and eaten, Some people have food accommodations and I get they may be a pain, but I don’t think what I asked for was too much. For the level of service I received I probably...
