It was my Mom's 88th birthday, and since I am out of town we made plans for her to go nextdoor and I would treat them all to pizza. It would have been great, except that the poor neighbors were charged for the delivery!! It was my treat! And I placed an intentionally extravagant order (four pizzas and two dry ribs with a pop), that was roughly $100, with a good tip too!!! So you can imagine how this "pizza surprise" that should have been delightful, turned into a financial imposition and a very unexpected negative experience! My poor mom was so embarassed. Her neighbors (who work hard to provide for their family of five) were miserably quiet that evening. Everyone was uncomfortable. What should have been a fun and easy gift for my mom to celebrate her birthday with her friends was ruined!!! They all wondered if I had done this on purpose??! Nobody enjoyed the meal. It was like throwing a wet blanket on a candle. My mom went home early, and when I called her later that evening she was in tears.
So I contacted Family Pizza because, at a minimum we had been charged double and needed to have that corrected. First they argued with me, even though I had a purchase order/ receipt in my email. Then they couldn't do anything about it without a manager. My mom's neighbor was finally reimbursed, but they still had to go to the store in person to ensure that they would get their money back.
I wanted to speak with the manager about the fact that my Mom's 88th birthday was ruined! I asked them to somehow make it better beyond simply NOT charging us double.
Once again, the guy at the counter couldn't do anything without the manager who wouldn't be there for two days. When I finally spoke with the manager, he couldn't do anything without speaking to to owner. Eventually, days later I got a call telling me they would give me a $30 credit. That's it??? The whole experience with multiple dissatisfied customers was worth thirty dollars to make it right?? WOW. It feels like they threw salt on a wound. My heart hurts for my mom and that sad experience she and her neighbors went through, and I am very offended that it means so little to Family Pizza. Obviously they don't care about their...
Read moreI order pizza from family pizza regularly, but that may change. I truly enjoy their pizza and I feel that they have a great product, unfortunately I have had a few less then pleasant experiences. When visiting with a friend at her home, I have had a delivery driver try to argue with me that I did not give the correct address on the order, but still somehow showed up at the address provided about an hour and twenty minutes later. Then another time, ordered a couple pizzas on a Saturday at 2pm(today) and they took over an hour as well and when I called to inquire the person answering provided my address when I mentioned that I ordered about an hour ago and was wondering what was happening as they quote 45minutes. Is it likely a restaurant was swamped at off hours? I'll leave that up to you. I also didn't appreciate the snide tone of the employee when she stated "well, we're busy". As I mentioned earlier, I really love the pizza but I am happy to take my patronage elsewhere. EDIT: I did speak with the store 3 times that day, and I don't feel it should be my responsibility to chase good customer service. The first time was to inquire about if the order was even being addressed as I had been waiting for an hour. I also called 90 mins after the order was placed as I was delivered cold and soggy pizza. At this time the management offered to remake the pizza or provide a gift card. As I no longer had time to wait for more cold, soggy pizza and was not interested in ordering from this location again, I asked for a refund and was refused. Gift card only. I'd rather not have to go through that situation again. I can make my own pizza in that...
Read moreThis is the most disappointing service I have ever encountered. Last night at 11:34pm, I ordered two small pizzas and asked for delivery, the receipt given online says that delivery times usually take around 45 minutes unless it is unusually busy. After an hour, I called the store to see if they had an update on our order, as I was concerned it had potentially been delivered to the wrong address. I was greeted on the phone and was put on hold so that the employee could check to see if he had an update for me, but I had not given him any information about my order. He came back on the line and told me that they had become "super duper busy" and that it would just be a few more minutes likely, but again, he had no information about my order. At almost an hour and a half after the order and just before the store was to close, I called again and the employee again told me that it had become increasingly busy but that the driver had just left with my order, which is confusing to me as again I had not given him any information about the order. Finally, at 1:26am, the pizzas were delivered, however, the delivery man had called me and asked me to meet him outside the house as he didn't want to go around the side door and I met him at the wrong address and was greeted with little to no respect and given room temperature pizzas. I am usually very understanding when it comes to customer service staff and that it can be completely out of their control, but I am incredibly disappointed in the service and how poorly it was handled and I will not be ordering from this location or likely any...
