We eat there all the time, manager and staff are outstanding. Our favorite Breakfast place and the only place we will have a hamburger.
My hamburger is always so hot you have to let it cool, my eggs are cooked perfect every time for the past year.
The above is how it was before coved, since restrictions have been lifted, we started back to the Preston location 3 weeks ago. I am so disappointed, 1 st time back eggs were not cooked over easy, toast was dry and cold, could not get a second cup of coffee even though I finally went and asked. Never happened before, nobody watching the dinning room. 2nd list last weekend. food was good, no coffee service, dinning room had 2 tables besides ours. 3rd visit today. eggs came with the yokes broken, no condiment ( jam and peanut butter ) bacon could not be chewed, had to ask for cutlery, when it came, it was plastic, cheap plastic. I understand if you want to make money, but we alway had steel cutlery, now it is the same level as Ronnies. Had to go and ask for more coffee, asked to get my cup topped up, she brought another cup of coffee, money wasting.
We have filled some many cards with the meals we have there, I have lost track. We cashed in 2 cards today, have 3 more.
It is obvious the dinning room managment is no longer a priority. They still clean the tables better than any other restaurant. I do not like to have to go and ask for jam, coffee, cutlery. should not have to.
the staff should be trained to realize that customer service does not end when you deliver the food to the table. it ends when the customer leaves.
they are so busy, my comments will roll like water off a duck. We will stay away for a while, maybe look for another place to eat. We went there because the service at Fudruckers...
Read moreIt’s sad how far this location has fallen since my first review. I’ve noticed over the course of the last couple months that it wasn’t the same quality. Today sealed the deal that I won’t be returning. Stopped in on my way home to grab burgers and fries because I didn’t want to cook. The service wasn’t great but oh well. Food came out a lot quicker than usual so I thought that was a plus. But then I got home. One burger missing. Half a container of poutine with very little cheese or gravy. Sadness. Called and was informed that the only way to fix the problem is to place an order through skip the dishes and pay for it then get refunded. Ummmm no. That’s beyond horrible customer service. So my partner drove back to get the missing burger while I ate the one they sent. But I couldn’t eat it. It was so gross. Bacon hard like a piece of wood. Bun old and crumbly. The patty didn’t taste like meat. Extreme sadness. Good bye fat burger.
Food is always perfect and customer service amazing. The only problem is that between the staff yelling at each other and the music cranked up way too high, you can’t even hear the person you are sitting at a table with. Gives me a headache. Always have to take to go instead of staying to eat. Very disappointing. Would be our regular burger place, but if I want to take it home I will just go through...
Read moreToday we went to this location for lunch before we went home to Humboldt. As we were paying my card declined - a bill had come out that I'd forgotten about. We had our four year old son with us and we were ALL hangry from a long visit to the city. Unable to pay for all of our meals, my husband and I decided to split a burger and fries between ourselves so our son could eat. As we were enjoying the delicious burger (we've never been to Fat Burger before and it was quite obvious as we stood dumbfounded staring at the menu lol) the woman who'd taken our order came to our table with a second adult sized meal so that my husband and I didn't have to share. I can't remember what she said, but it was along the lines of "I've been there, and I want you to come back to Fat Burger." I could have cried. I had been so embarrassed at the cash register, but this lady didn't judge us, had compassion and truly went out of her way to go above and beyond for us.
