Unfortunately, the staff appear to be very overwhelmed at this location. I believe the staff here need more support and training from regional training management. It honestly did not seem to be the employee's fault specifically because it sounded/looked like training hadn't yet been completed. I felt overwhelmed just standing there watching them all work. I used the touchscreen kiosk when I walked inside because no one was manning the tills and then waited 30 minutes for two large Coffees. I still hadn't received my order after 3 people who had ordered after me were served and I then noticed my order number disappear from the 'in progress' screen. I felt like I was the only one waiting patiently in line, understanding that the staff was both overwhelmed and did not seem to have an effective rhythm going between instore customers, drive thru customers, and food preparation. As I was waiting, at least 4 more employees walked onto shift and yet things appeared to get worse. The 2 or maybe 3 employees who appeared to be managers (maybe?) were walking around without purpose or otherwise disappeared from the scene completely. One employee kept stating very loudly, "I can't do this, I can't do this". A manager (I'm assuming by how she was dressed differently from the rest) briefly showed up at the till hollering at customers that she was providing refunds, and then disappeared again. There were, however, a few staff that seemed to know what they were doing, but likely were also stressed out because they were moving SO slowly (I think they were trying to stay calm amidst the chaos). The whole place and environment felt extremely tense and stressful. I eventually went up to the counter and asked for my order again, from the drive thru employee since all other staff were scared to be close enough for customers to speak to (rightfully so!). Read moreThis has to be the worst McDonald's I've ever been to (and I used to frequent the one in downtown Toronto where people were constantly being stabbed..). We went tonight for some food after a long shift, PARKED AND TURNED OFF my car in the drive thru because no one acknowledged me or the other person in the opposite lane for 5 minutes. When they did take more order, I was rushed and when I pulled up, there were no other cars in line.. we paid for our order and were told to park "where ever" all 3 parking spaces were full, so we parked in Mobile Orders, where other drive thru patrons were waiting as well. The lobby was closed and it looked like the had a full staff. We waited exactly 20 minutes for our food and it wasn't even fresh. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! When the order was brought out, they tried to give me the wrong meals, thank God I questioned him. He went back inside and promptly returned with my food, he was nice enough but there was no apology for the wait or any effort to make things right (I guess this is what people should expect from their trips to McDonald's?). He also took my receipt from me and crumpled it up as he walked away, presumably so I wouldn't be able to write a review on the website to corporate.. Ive worked in fastfood (McDonald's in Ontario for 3.5 years) and I cannot believe this. Obviously the owner doesn't care about this location because it is an absolute disaster. The staff at the drive thru window have ZERO personality and make no attempt to acknowledge your existence. It's a surreal experience and definitely not one I enjoy. What's wrong with the management that never been a focus of excellent customer service. For how many people complaint about this store still theres no changes. Giving excellent customer service is now a garbage and none of the employee here follows it. Super disappointing! Ordered drinks, burger and junior chicken on our way to go for camping. They charged me for double drinks and i asked for refund. The cashier said I'll give it to you when we serve the food. While waiting for our food. I went to use their washroom. Freaking dirty bathroom, disgusting!!! Your lucky i dont have my phone.. i would take a picture, how disgusting the bathroom. Garbage is all over the floor. No one is checking the bathroom to make sure its clean. Never ever coming back to this store. Here the food, they gave me double drinks instead of refund. I asked for refund and the server who delivered the food. "I don't know what you're talking about, they just asked me to deliver this to you and that's it. You go inside ask them!" Wow!
