I went in on Wednesday March 26th for all you can eat ribs with 3 other people (1 got something else instead) around 730pm. At first everything was great. Our server was wonderful throughout our whole visit. But 10 minutes after taking our food order where 3 out of 4 people wanted the all you can eat ribs we were informed they ran out of ribs! How do you run out of ribs when half the menu has ribs! And on all you can eat night! Again that wasn't the server's fault that would be the kitchen and management's fault. We already had our drinks and were given a few minutes to decide what we wanted to do(stay and order something else or go elsewhere. We asked if we decided to go on a different night if we could also get the all you can eat ribs even not on all you can eat night (Wednesdays) which the server sent the manager over to our table. When the manager walked over she had this look on her face(the kind of look on the face where your embarrassed about something that should never have happened) but she didn't even speak first, we had to say something first. The manager should have said something immediately when arriving at our table instead of us waiting a second then us saying something first. It boiled down to we decided to stay but we're close to leaving and going to Boston pizza instead. 2 of us got steak, 1 got chicken fajitas, and the other Mac and cheese, plus we had a toddler with us. We waited for almost 45 minutes for our food after our appetizer came out. We were minutes away from just walking out because they weren't that busy to warrant that long of a wait, being there for almost an hour and a half before our food came out was pretty bad. Then on top of that both of our steaks(one was medium rare and the other was medium well done) were dry! I got the butter added on top of my steak which melted slowly while I ate the soggy onion rings and the fries(fries were good). I still needed to use steak sauce, which I shouldn't have needed to, because the steak was so dry and almost had a charred taste to it. Needless to say I'm not sure if we will be back to the betts ave Montana's again and we sure won't be recommending...
Read moreMy friend and I dined at this location a couple of months ago and it was a terrible experience. I’ve dined here many times before but this time made me never want to return to this location or another Montanas ever again. It was a Friday night and we were placed in the lounge in a very tiny booth while every other table was open. My friend and I had just had a rough day at work so we were looking for a pick-me-up. We greeted by the server who was kind but also seemed like she just wanted to get our order in and leave (I’ve worked in hospitality so I understand that we have those nights). Anyways so my friend and I decided to try the garlic pull apart bread since we’ve never had it. When it came out, there was a black curly hair in it, which in all honesty we said it could’ve been us but we just weren’t sure. It was taken off the bill which was kind. We felt feeling fine. However, the next day, my friend and I were both sick to the point of not being able to stand. I’m talking coming out of both ends like a faucet, not leaving the bathroom for hours sick. For days we couldn’t eat properly or had any appetite. After two weeks, my hunger finally came back. The day after this started happening, my friend called to restaurant and requested to speak to manager of some sort. She was told by a server or host that they’ll get back to her (they never did). Words can’t describe how sick I was. I couldn’t sleep at all for two nights because I’d have to get up at least 3 times to use the washroom. When I told people about this experience, some said that they always have weird tasting ranch at Montanas, and we had ranch on our dish so maybe don’t eat any ranch from there. So yeah, my friend and I are now terribly traumatized and will not...
Read moreMy wife and I had supper there last night. It was such a comedy of errors I had to post. We both ordered iced tea to drink which was fine. Our server came back promptly to take our order. We asked for a couple of minutes which was a big mistake. Our server started cleaning other tables and just disappeared. After a long wait she finally came back and took our order. That was the last time we saw her until it was time to pay. While waiting for food we flagged another server to get more iced tea. Eventually she came back with one glass. It was full to the top with ice and a small amount of tea. She set it down between our 2 empty glasses and left. We looked at each other and wondered if we were expected to share it? A third server brought us out food and asked if we needed anything else. We said yes some ketchup and some iced tea. He said ok and went away. We never saw him again. No ketchup or iced tea either. So we started eating thinking someone would return. No one did. We finished our meals without ketchup or drinks. When we did our original server came back and asked how we were and how we will pay. We said we were unhappy and explained what happened. She took our money and apologized. She said she would ask the manager if something could be done. I said I would listen if it didn't take too long. She went away and we did have to wait. My wife went out to the car but i waited. It felt like a slap in the face to do more waiting. She eventually came back with a coupon that said if we came back and spent $60 we would get $15 off. Another slap in the face. I said no thank you and left vowing to never return and tell everyone I know not to go to Montana's. Worst...
