OPA! of Greece University Heights — Restaurant in Saskatoon

UPDATE: A few weeks ago, I needed to get something for supper fast, and I gave in and ordered once again from this location. I’m so glad I did! The food was awesome AND the portions were great! We’ve since ordered from there twice more, and each time we were VERY happy with the food, the portions and the service! Now, we highly recommend this location! Great job on making great changes! We willl be back…and often 😊

We are VERY frequent Opa customers so we excitedly waited for what felt like an eternity for this location to open as it’s much closer to our home than the others. When it finally opened, we promptly bought our first meal there. While it tasted great, we were shocked at how ridiculously little gyro was included on my platter but we assumed it was due to it being a brand new restaurant with brand new staff. We tried it again a short time later, and same problem. We decided then that we would stick with the 8th Street and 51st Street locations because the food there is always great and we feel like we get good value for our money. In a pinch tonight, we tried the University Heights location one more time. This was our worst experience yet. Sooooooo little gyro on my platter, and my partner’s chicken souvlaki skewer was very small. I have been a big fan of OPA for awhile... but it has gone downhill the past couple of years. i got 3 shrimp in my platter, that i had to pay extra for. my lemon potatoes looks like the lemon in the plate along with them having a hard shell on the outside and having no flavour. extremely disappointed. also ordered online and went in the store about 20 minutes later to have to wait in the store for 15 minutes. when there was only 1 person who was in there with me.

I am really glad that they opened a location here. I love Opa so I visted this location today with my friend and we both enjoyed eating here. Jaspreet took our order and she was professional as well as friendly, that made us comfortable because this was our first visit at this location. Then, Khushi made our order really fast and it tasted the way it’s suppose to be. Loved the service and food quality provided to me today. Highly recommended...
