Ah, dearest reviewers, it is with the deepest of regrets that I must recount a most unfortunate dining experience—one that shall forever linger in infamy. Upon entering the establishment, hopes were high, but alas, the reality was far removed from the elegance and refinement one might expect.
The wontons, I dare say, tasted not unlike something dredged from the most unfortunate of swamps, leaving one to wonder if the chef had lost their sense of both taste and decorum. The chop suey vegetables, if one could even call them that, were shockingly raw, their crispness wholly unsuitable for a dish intended to be cooked. But, dear reader, it was the grey, most unappealing sludge at the bottom of the dish that truly turned the stomach.
The rice, stale and lifeless, offered no respite, while the shrimp—rubbery, old, and undoubtedly mishandled—were a trial unto themselves, as if plucked from the darkest corners of some distant shore without the care of proper preparation. As for the ginger beef, it arrived cold, and the spring roll, though not entirely devoid of promise, was limp and soggy, an unfortunate shadow of what it could have been.
And, dear reader, if the food were not travesty enough, it has come to my attention through whispers and firsthand experience that the lady of the house is possessed of a temperament most foul. Rude beyond measure, with a streak of prejudice that no reputable establishment should abide. Indeed, my own encounters with this individual in a separate setting left much to be desired.
As I pen this, I am most aggrieved to inform you that both my husband and I are currently suffering the most vile case of food poisoning, the likes of which I would not wish upon even my worst enemy. In short, dear reader, it is my firmest recommendation that you steer clear of this establishment, for it offers nothing but regret and revulsion in abundance.
Yours in sincere disappointment, Lady Seraphina...
Read moreWent to the buffet, greatly disappointed. Food was old, cold, tasted and looked like the food had been sitting out for many hours. Sauces were congealed, salad dressing had a thick crust. Veggies dried out. Decor was ok but slightly outdated, staff was friendly enough. I could only eat half of my food, and within ten minutes I was violently ill, as was the other person I ate supper with. Hours later, I’ve been sick twice since and still feel queasy. This restaurant is gross. Kitchen staff swept and handled garbage, then continued to handle buffet food and customers takeaway orders without washing their hands in between. There are better restaurants in the area. I won’t be returning to this place; it’s unhygienic and the...
Read moreWell, used to go there for a quick buffet and it was always average at best but that was OK. Went their tonight and was really disappointed. Menu hasn't changed, but the quality of the food has got worse than on my previous visits over the years. A. The spring roll was like mush, not firm at all. Tasted like soggy cabbage. Grade F B. The shrimp were tiny covered with a mass of greasy batter. Flavour was OK, but the grease was saturated in the thick dough batter. Grade D C. Lean pork sweet and sour. Sauce was good but meat was dry and hard. Grade C- D. Chop Suey was mostly carrots and cabbage that was very overcooked, no crispness at all. Grade C- E. Fried rice was OK. Not much added for flavour other than soy...
