I ordered takeout from Snowy Village because we were heading out on a long drive. I placed my order with an Asian staff member, and honestly, I didn’t appreciate her attitude. She seemed irritated and kept making unpleasant facial expressions. She asked us twice what we wanted, but since we’re not from the area, we were just taking a bit of time to decide.
Here’s what I ordered:
A medium mango bingsu to share with my sister (the small size wasn’t available) A fish-shaped croissant (taiyaki) Deep-fried baby octopus When I picked up the order, I asked for an extra cup so I could share the bingsu with my sister. The staff member said okay but rolled her eyes and looked annoyed again. Before leaving, I double-checked the order and noticed one of the boxes felt really light. When I opened it, I was so disappointed—there were only four tiny pieces of baby octopus inside, and it cost $9. The fish croissant was also really dry and barely had any Nutella filling.
Overall, I was very disappointed with both the customer service and the quality...
Read moreGuy helping us was rude(I think he is an main employee as looks like he is teaching another guy who's new). He answers our questions with regards to orders like he is mad and even didn't bat an eye when my toddler was saying hi to him. They served some food from our bento meals that are fridge cold that didn't even seem to be reheated or fresh(we didn't want to have it change as we didn't want the other guy as he was very rude and we were afraid what he might do). We also ordered a taiyaki but they forgot to serve it and was just left their counter and was already helping other customers after us with their orders. We have been coming to snowy village for years but this experience makes us not want to come back here. It was also the first time I brought my toddler and having a bad experience was definitely not okay. I wish I can put a 0 star here as they deserved it that day. The quality of everything(staff, food, dessert) is definitely worse than...
Read moreThe taiyaki and bingsoo were really good. The aroma of taiyaki can be... different, if you have a sensitive nose and aren't used to how cooked butter smells. But the taste was addictive. And the seating area was clean with decor that encouraged that feeling.
There was a large overhead board with some items, but looking at the menu was really helpful, with lists of ingredients and pictures.
What I wasn't sure about and was too shy to ask was if there are any dairy alternatives, like maybe coconut milk instead of the sweetened condensed milk (which was amazing, but being lactose intolerant means I can't eat bingsoo as often as I wish I could). I think one had almond milk either instead or in addition, but if you have nut allergies obviously that wouldn't work.
Anyway. Glad...
