Third edit * received a $50 gift card which I feel is quite insulting when i purchased 4 meals and 2 sides for triple that and out of which one side, one kid meal, and half of one adult meal (so less then half the order) were even half decent... I only even spent the gift card because I wanted back some of what I spent , not because I wanted their food again. I got the steak since it was the only thing worth getting. Will never go back there again.
Second EDIT * I spoke with the manager who called me and apologized. He asked my mailing address and said he would send something on his way home for me to give them another chance. It’s been a week and I haven’t received anything yet but will update when/if I do.
I’ve got to say I am incredibly incredibly disappointed with this place. I have never had such a bad experience at any keg I’ve been to before. I spent $157 in total for meals that could’ve came from Dennys. I myself got the filet mignon with a twice baked potato, I will say probably the best steak I’ve ever had. However the potato was super dry and I didn’t receive butter or sour cream with it like requested, my spouse got their burger which had no sauce and was so dry he could barely eat it his side was the Caesar salad which no Caesar dressing was received for it, we also got the Neptune mushrooms which were literally the size of my thumbnail and were upside down and just tossed everywhere (we opened before we even drove away from picking up so no transporting it didn’t cause the mess), my daughter got the kids meal burger which we requested have just cheese and ketchup on it and the burger came with just the bun and the patty, the baked Brie was fine and so was my other daughters chicken, lastly the desert was the apple crisp and wow I’ve never had an apple crisp I disliked so much, only about half if even half the apples were actually even cooked. I called in about my meal the next day and my name and phone number were taken and I was told I would receive a call from manager in two days when they were back in. It has now been 4 days and I have yet to receive a phone call. This experience was brutal and the food we received wasn’t even close to being worth $157,...
Read moreThe location is great and parking was easy that was a plus. The tables inside the restaurant were pretty tight for some people at our table but the restaurant looked like your typical higher end chain restaurant with some quality wood work, glass and lighting. We went with a large party with reservations and it seemed like they had several large groups and were having some trouble accommodating them all. We made it work. Initially, the server was pleasant without being overbearing. She did say she was going to bring more bread which then never arrived. We ended up getting our meals shortly after so we never asked again. Most of the food seemed ok. The steaks and prime rib were cooked nicely. One of our friends had part of their meal forgotten. When she brought it up to the waitress at the end just to make her aware of it so she wouldn’t be charged the waitress insisted on bring it out for her even though she said she would prefer not to have it at this point. The waitress politely argued with her, repeating she could bring it out right away 3-4 times and would not take no for an answer. My friend decided to allow it even though she didn’t really want it anymore suspecting it had probably just spent 40 minutes under a heat lamp somewhere. In any case I guess we have to appreciate the waitresses persistence. I had the Keg Burger. It was cooked very well and a nice ground patty that was decent sized. The bun however was incredibly soggy on the bottom and inedible. It was clearly overtoasted to the point of maybe being black around the edge. It appears the onions were just not well cooked as it seemed like the bun was soaked with moisture from the onions not just the burger grease. Sadly the onions also really lacked flavour as did the entire burger overall. All in all it was not fantastic, and we probably won’t go back, nor would I suggest to anyone I know that they go...
Read moreI've been going to the Keg for 30 years between Regina and Saskatoon Reservation was at 8:00 cedar probably drink order right away, ordered appetizers,had our complete order in by 8:15
8:30 our meal salads we're brought out in the server indicate that the appetizers will be coming out later because they're slow so they wanted to start us off with our meal salads (???)
Midway through eating our salads the appetizers showed up
9:10 still our steak meals were still noy served. I asked a server where are Mia was and she indicated that she would be sending the manager over (?).;
Manager came over indicated that the server did not put the order in (kinda threw her under the bus) , and that they are working quickly to get our meal to us.
9:18 our food shows up, I ordered filet mignon, when I got was almost top sirloin or a much smaller cut and thinner , with a piece of bacon laying on top of it (?), I told the server this was not correct she again sent the manager over, he then proceeded to tell me that that was a filet and that sometimes the bacon falls off (see picture) and when I asked him again are you trying to say this is a filet he corrected himself and said we'll make this right and said ".. well till we get your right plate out, you can pick away at the food there and start your meal..". ????
5 minutes later the manager brings a plate out tells it is very hot my hypothesis is they grab the wrong plates and that one was still sitting under the heat lamp and he has to pass it to me extremely hot, so it been there for a while.
Was expecting some level of discount on the meal- to a degree, the table was offered a free dessert for all the inconvenience , on a bill of $268.... A free 8.00 dessert..thx
What was that be a nice bday celebration and meal turned into a long disappointing eating...
