Hard Wok Cafe — Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie

My review is not based on the food, but the customer service... Until a few hours ago I was a delivery driver, and delivered food from this place to a customers home. I overcharged the customer by 8 dollars by mistake. (Working three jobs I get tired and it was likely my fault, or the receipt was not legible.) Upon returning to do a second delivery, I was treated very badly about the situation despite admitting I was probably at fault. I returned to the customers house to reimburse them the amount I overcharged and then returned to home base to quit my job. The people who deliver your food do make mistakes like everyone else.....we usually deliver because we work more than one job...in my case three, with a disabled child to support. The crusty old lady who works here needs to be a little more pleasant...

The food wasnt so bad. They do not have much of a menu though, there is no General Tso chicken in all of sault ste marie. This place does not let you substitute, not even pork fried rice, instead of chicken. All their meals are just chicken based. I really, really disliked that they wouldnt give me pork fried rice. The price is kinda high for how low quality of food. And im pretty sure there is MSG in the food, because I swelled up after eating. Coming from a town that has competetive restaurants, I would not recommend this restaurant. Website says 8pm on Friday. Twice now I've called at 6:45 and had someone answer to tell me they were closed. If you are too busy to take an more orders to ensure you get at reasonable time I empathize. But then put that on the website. NO ORDERS PAST "X" TIME. Completely understandable request that a reasonable customer would understand. To post a closing time and tell me you are closed an hour and fifteen minutes beforehand makes a customer feel lied to and unimportant.
