If you're ever in Port Perry and craving some seriously delicious Middle Eastern food, you have to check out Saffron Eatery! Even if, like me, you just happened to be in the area and it's not your usual stomping ground, this place is a definite must-try. I ordered the mixed meat shawarma plate, and it was fantastic. The portion size was generous for the price, making it a great value. What really stood out was the gyro meat – absolutely amazing! It was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. And the saffron rice? So unique and a perfect complement to the meats. The whole plate was a delightful explosion of taste. Beyond the fantastic food, the atmosphere at Saffron Eatery is just lovely. It's a cute, little cafe-style place that feels incredibly welcoming. The owners, a cute older couple, really add to the charm. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into their food and their business. Overall, Saffron Eatery is a gem in Port Perry. Ashamed to admit I didn't realize this wonderful eatery existed until this month. We were looking for a quick lunch spot, something savoury and reasonably priced, didn't want a sit-down necessarily and stumbled into Saffron. It was perfect.

The place is immaculately clean - so clean in fact, I thought they had only just opened (they haven't, they've been there for seven years I only just found out).

Two delicious spits of meat were roasting, and the menu offered up too many delicious options to choose from. I have the mixed shawarma and mum got the hummus. Such a delicious shawarma, and the hummus is the best I've had in ten years. I'll be heading back shortly to stock up my fridge as I really can't stand the runny/watery grocery store variety - this is the real deal.

My wife and I have just had our first baby boy this week. We wanted to enjoy one of our favorite places to eat Saffron Eatery. When I walked in to order our food the lovely couple who own this amazing restaurant recognized me and asked about my wife. When I explained that we just had a baby and we're at the hospital that my wife wanted their food for the first meal after they were over joyed. They then gave us our meal free of charge. It brought a tear to my eye. We will forever love and appreciate their generosity to us and our new born.
