I have done both dine in and take out. I have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it though have had a few disappointments. The serving staff are wonderful. They work very hard to make a positive experience for their patrons. The food and drinks are inconsistent.... The servers are pushed beyond proper service capabilities.... they should never have tables ...especially large groups ... both in front AND back of house.... service begins to lack when they are overloaded like this. Timeline we arrived at 1:30 and left after 5 ..... having just finished eating and paying the bills. 18% gratuities on groups of 8 or more....ok.... but should single bills and 2 people on a bill be charged this because they are dining in a large group? 🤔 debatable.... one of our friends has an allowance and this 18% pushed him well over his alloted spending... so we inquired ..... manager came over to chat with us understanding what we were saying but it's out of her hands ....ok..... We talked about lacking service ... and let me be clear this was NOT our server's fault. She was pulled and pushed in far too many directions. A sauce spill happened... all over one of us.. and she was unable to take any time to help us .... manager gave us a clean cloth ... she was also run off her feet. We understand crazy busy and were fine to clean up.... but should not have had to. Food for the most part is good... some is ok.... some is not the same twice. Same with specialty drinks. Shouldn't they all be the same every time? The manager was listening and completely understood our concerns. Unfortunately our server felt so bad she cried, which brought the owner over... looking out for his staff very commendable. But instead of listening to anything we were saying he angrily told us that we knew about the gratuity ...yes we did... but had questions. He refused to listen angrily telling us he would refund the 18% to all of us ... NOT what we were asking for ... and then told us we were NEVER TO RETURN !! WOAH ... really?? He focused solely on the gratuity and nothing else. He spoke very rudely and was obviously angry. We tried to explain but he wouldn't listen...I told him to go away we would talk with the manager. He became very angry and told us several times he would give us the money back and to GET OUT!! He became verbally assaultive..... ??? I can handle inconsistencies with food and drink... but they should know about it and correct it .. shouldn't they? He doesn't seem to care. They should also manage the servers a little better. They work really hard but can't manage when overloaded. NOT THEIR FAULT
He has banned all of us from the restaurant. But I would never return anyway solely due to his lack of desire to hear and make the needed changes. .... and his undeserved and unnecessary verbal attack on us. He refunded our 18% gratuity and we gave it all plus $40 to our server. We made it clear to her this was not on her in any way and we were more than happy to take care of her... we had her back. She was wonderful. This owner should keep his mouth closed and let his staff handle the patrons. Foods and drinks should not change based on who is working that day. Gratuities should have more of a fairness to it rather than someone being forced to pay more because they chose to eat with friends and family.
And an owner should NEVER verbally assault...

We went on Saturday when two other venues in town had unfortunate gas leaks and flooding. So, the tourists and locals flooded here and El Segundo (see review for there!).
First off, there were only two servers who despite being run off their feet were top notch and going above and beyond keeping everyone happy. Literally crazy times but they rose to the occasion.
Second the interior is reminiscent of a Joey's or Cactus Club in town....not bad. Cool fire pit tables out in the raised patio (above the parking lot) and a spacious modern interior inside. The sports on the screens that evening was horse jumping which personally I found to be the BEST entertainment going on.
Now. The food. Disclaimer here: I have trained as a chef but worked my way through kitchens from the bottom up so I'm giving an honest yet of course biased opinion here. But ladies and gents in the kitchen (and owners, really, overall) - you can do better. Much much better.
The French onion soup. It was like powdered soup base with a couple hunks of pre-packaged croutons, and a sad smattering if pre grated packaged cheese....not a delectable oozing coverage of golden broiled cheese.
The wings were doused in, again based on flavour, pre-made processed sauce. No love in those wings that night.
The crab dip was passable but still not sure anything at the restaurant is truly fully made in the kitchen.
In my old pub days this was the norm, but with such spectacular serving staff, and decent location , if the kitchen stepped up this could be the place to be.
Kudos to the bartender for putting together a...

Upon arrival, our party was seated at what could best be described as a design experiment gone wrong, impossibly tall chairs paired with low, unwelcoming tables. The ergonomics were so poorly conceived that dining felt less like a meal and more like an arm test. One is left to wonder whether the intent was to dissuade lingering.
Service was glacial. Orders took an extended period to arrive, and basic touches, such as refreshing beverages, were inexplicably overlooked. My drink vanished early in the meal and, like many of the finer details that distinguish a fine establishment, was never seen again.
The food, when it did arrive, was served at a temperature best described as "room." Not chilled, not hot... simply indifferent. A lukewarm plate is an apt metaphor for the overall experience.
Despite the many shortcomings, the company at the table salvaged the evening somewhat. For that, a reluctant one star. But on culinary merit alone, this visit was uninspired and unmemorable.
I will not return during next years anual AGM. Not out of malice, simply out of preference. There are other joints in Sechelt with fewer chairs to climb and more reasons to stay and spend money, this ain't it.
Not...
