Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Selkirk

We go to this sub place every time we go to Selkirk. Honestly ,so far we have always had a great experience. The Bread is very fresh ,the veggies and other toppings are also really nice. I wish they had one in our area and not the Subway that is here . Keep doing what you do , this place us lovely and seems to care about what they sell. Thank you .

My husband went to Selkirk today [ March 8th/2024 ] for a DR's appt. and on the way to going home he stopped and got a sub for us to share . This sub was in the truck for a long time as we live a fairly long distance from there. This place gives lots of fresh crispy veggies and whatever you like on it. The cold cuts were also fresh and there was a lot of them on the sub , unlike another sub place we won't go to anymore. Well, by the time he got home we thought it would be soggy etc, but it was like he just bought it It was lovely and fresh and crisp veggies too . The lady serving was also very nice and very polite. We love Mr. Sub and wish we were closer when we want a nice fresh sub . Also the price is reasonable for the amount of meat & veggies put on it. I want to take a moment to recognize the professionalism of one of the employees at Mr. Sub during a difficult situation on Thursday I witnessed recently. While I was waiting in line, the customer ahead of me began arguing over the price of his order. He had asked for breaded chicken and then insisted he didn’t want the spicy version. The menu clearly shows both “Original” and “Spicy Breaded Chicken” options for $9.19, and there’s also a “Chicken Parmesan” option that costs $1.19 more. The employee calmly tried to explain the pricing, but the customer became aggressive—raising his voice, using inappropriate language, and even trying to leave without paying the full amount. I’ve been to this location many times and know that employee well. He’s always made great subs and provided excellent service. It was upsetting to see someone treat him so disrespectfully when he was just doing his job. In the end, the customer paid less than he should have and left abruptly. If I could give 10 out of 10 I would. This rating based on multiple visits. The staff is extraordinarily friendly. Always remember my family when we come in. AKA “GREEK FAMILY” lol. Vaibhav, I hope I spelt correctly, has a passion for training his staff with the same respect, work ethic and morals as himself. Every single employee and even the new ones genuinely interact with people while making epically fresh subs. I HIGHLY recommend supporting this restaurant in Selkirk MB!!! Beside the liquor mart on Main Street.
