We haven’t been at the Riverboat since the pandemic and decided tonight to order on line because we had heard such great reviews! Yes we use to go and eat there back in the day and we always had good food !!! Tonight we ordered the Fish and chips platter, cheese toast and battered mushrooms! Loved the mushrooms even though they were not very warm, the cheese toast was on whole wheat bread, I didn’t notice that when I ordered it I thought it came on white. As for the fish and chip platter never again! The fish was grease and not even warm the fries I could have made in the oven and those were not even warm ! Sorry ! Portions were small. My husband had a Coke, burger & Fries, I had a Denver sandwich , fries and water. Both the burger & sandwich were really small in size! Cost $35, gave waitress $40, she did not bring back change. When we asked about the change she said that she understood that she could have it. We never said to keep the change. She just Assumed. We however like to choose what we give. For the price we paid, the portions should have been much better ! We live in southern rural Manitoba and our restaurants give way better portions and for a better value, plus the servers do not make assumptions about their tip We will never dine...
