I tried this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend, and honestly was extremely disappointed.
My husband, and I both wound up getting sick from the pesto cream pasta sauce, our server was nearly non existent, which resulted in my having to wait over forty five minutes before I could even eat my dinner. First after I had to get her to take my pasta back, and retoss it after she told me the pasta I was ordering came with a cream sauce(it didn't), and it was literally swimming in the white wine garlic sauce it was served in.
My husband repeatedly attempted to get her attention, only to have her make eye contact, and then immediately disappear. Then when she finally returned literally twenty minutes later, and took my pasta to retoss it, she took my fork, and didn't bring it back. She then immediately left again before I could even say that my fork was missing, and without so much as refilling our water glasses, or even asking my husband if he wanted a refill for his empty drink, and proceeded to continue to ignore every attempt my husband, and I made to get her attention.
Finally thirty minutes later, when my husband was nearly done his food, the HOST came to our table. As she had noticed my husband trying to get our servers attention, I was finally able to get a new fork.
Our server didn't come back until she was asking us if we wanted a dessert menu! She even went to the table next to us, brought them the card machine, and then left again without so much as glancing in our direction! That's not to mention that she returned to their table nearly twenty minutes later, at which point they informed her that she hadn't even brought them their bill! Honestly they looked about as impressed with the service as we were.
The pasta itself was incredibly bland, and as a chef myself I was very disappointed. Especially after having had to wait so long to even eat it. I have worked in the service industry, and I understand sometimes things get busy, and it can be crazy. However they were not busy! In fact by the time we finally left, we were the only people left in the entire restaurant other than the staff, and it was early!
I had heard good things about this restaurant, and couldn't have been more disappointed with not only the food, but the service. I honestly don't know that I would...
Read moreWe, me and my girlfriend, went here for my birthday. It was a mediocre experience I guess.
We called a week in advance to reserve a table and the person answering the phone didnât ask if it was for any occasion nor did they take down any info other than a first name and time, which we thought was strange but didnât think much of it. When we arrived one of the staff told us we âgot their last tableâ and seated us at a small table right at the front where customers were coming in and out of the restaurant and staff was always walking by with orders... I felt like they may have forgotten about our reservation or just let walk-ins take all the tables further in the restaurant before we arrived.
They donât have a cocktail menu, again strange for a nicer restaurant, and we were told they could do âbasic drinks like rum and cokeâ they couldnât make either a whiskey sour or even an old fashioned (no bitters to make it). They have a fairly good selection of wine which I ended up feeling like I had to order from if I didnât want a drink with soda pop in it. We almost walked out at this point but decided to stay because we had heard good things.
What saved the experience was the food! It was all great, with big portions and it was surprisingly fast considering how busy they seemed to be. Iâm pretty convinced anything on the menu would be awesome.
So overall if youâre looking for some good Italian food and you donât care about drink selection or youâre okay with, even with reservation, possibly getting a table less than 10 feet from the front door itâs a good place to eat.
I would not recommend this place for any romantic occasion, itâs pretty loud in there and only one booth (that they would probably save for bigger parties) so not much privacy, and honestly for the price we paid ($140 for an appetizer, two meals with dessert and a 9 oz glass of wine) I feel like we could have had a better experience elsewhere for...
