UPDATE: Hookah/Shisha available (No Tobacco)

@greggmediterranean = Local Family Business + Sherwood Park + Lebanese food

Cheese rolls (Tastes like the Pizza Hut stuffed Cheese Crust)

Hummus [with beef & Pine nut] (it looks very spicy but actually not that spicy, very good with the Pita bread

Garlic Potatoes (Roasted potatoes, not deep fried, give me a lite appetizer)

Calamari (Smells so good when it comes, they use smaller squid, easy to eat, don't have to chew so long)

Mashawee family mixed platter

[3 Skewers chicken 3 beef 3 kafta beef and chicken shawarma]

(The ultimate sharable dish, MUST ORDER if you have a big group of 5+people, I like the chicken the most,

IT COMES WITH rice/fries + Salad

-Fattoush salad (Refreshing)

-Half rice has ground beef and the other half had vermicelli noodles

Almaza (Lebanese Beer, 4.2%only, very lite, tastes like Tsingtao Beer)

Long Island ice tea 2 oz (It doesn't taste like the strong liquor, for sure a fun drink if you like mild mocktail)

Virgin Caesar

Diet Coke

Arak (A traditional Lebanese liquor drink, it's so strong that it needs to mix with water and ice, yet, I still found it so strong) Order it and challenge your friend 😜

Baklava MUST PAIR WITH

Lebanese coffee (Stronge espresso with a spice which gives a unique flavor, it tastes very similar to Turkish coffee) (You can get a personal pot or a big one to share) (coffee tastes better after a meal)

For lunch, I recommend the Wraps & Bowls for the best value. It comes with fries or salad

Family Business. The owner is very nice and friendly, working hard to raise 3 daughters.

Where to start? Well, I will start by saying that I haven’t actually taken pictures of my food there ever, But the picture I screen shot sums it up well. The couple that own and run this restaurant are without a doubt the NICEST people you will ever meet. Raman and Tamara are very active in their community and feed a lot of people that may not get a chance to have a holiday dinner or just a meal. They are always taking donations for the food bank and are an integral part of their community. Christmas of 2019 they provided 40 Free meals for people Struggling to get by. They are true Angels.

The Food: OMG. I have never had the flavours and tastes that are presented in Gregg. The marinated meats are done so excellent, They are the pinnacle of perfection. We usually bring the whole family in and have a giant feast of the Mashawee family mixed platter. It is loaded with 9 Skewers of meats (Huge Skewers of Chicken, Beef and Kafta). 2 of these platters will feed 10 people easily.

We also order the Sujuk over hummus. The Sujuk is a spicy sausage that compliments the hummus and bread perfectly. It’s not burn your mouth spicy, It has a slight heat is all. My father who cannot stand anything hot, can shovel this down and he does. :-)

Give this restaurant a try, if I am wrong, I will eat these words. I promise you, You will be back again and again. And it’s a wonderful thing to support this family as they support so much around them.

PS: Don’t forget to ask about their new venture in...

Hands Down Absolutely Excellent Mediterranean Food!!! Wow! When my usual place for Mediterranean food was unavailable, most likely due to the global situation, a friend suggested Gregg’s in Sherwood Park, since I am too far for delivery I went for the pick up option. And am I ever glad I did!! The Tzatziki sauce with their calamari was so good I think I now dream about it!! Lol! Try one of their mixed kabob plates that gives you the Kafta Skewer, Beef Skewer, and Chicken Skewer, with their Authentic and very yummy rice, salad, and pita bread with hummus and garlic sauce/dip. I swear I could eat that meal every day and never get sick of it!! And it is a seriously sized portion which is awesome as the next day it is just as good for lunch!!! Also try their Fried Cheese Halume!! Yum! And their homemade...

This isn’t exactly where you expect to find a Mediterranean restaurant and from the outside it doesn’t look like much. Once you open the door though it’s a great atmosphere. Even though it was quiet when I came with only a few people inside it was still lively. Greeted and seated quickly, with polite service the whole way through. Tried the Chicken Shawarma Bowl and it was pretty well made. My only issue is the salad is right in the bowl with everything else so the flavours get mixed together when you’re eating it. It should be separate. The chicken, veggies, and sauces were fresh. Looking for a healthier alternative is what sent me here and I left satisfied with the choice. This place is worth a stop if you’re in the area.
