Excitingly different in a tired and overly done food category. As a vegetarian the options here were excellent. But as a vegetarian the awareness and training of the staff was extensively superior and adaptable to my specific situation. The staff here gave me 100% of what I wanted without it being painful and without the long gazes and puzzlement that comes from other Mexican food places. If you want to get what you want with it being tasty but not cumbersome at ordering then this is the place for you.
The place was clean and well lit and modern. The food items being added to my meal were extremely fresh. The value for the money spent was exceptional. I just dont know where else someone who is a bit picky about their Mexican food can go to get exactly what they want. That could include someone who is gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, allergic to anything or more.
So this was my first visit but I'm excited enough to confidently say that I will be back. Likely with the whole family next time. Join me. You will be glad you did. I just cant recommend this...
Read moreMy husband and I dined in at this location recently. The burrito fillings are fresh and flavorful, and I love that they toast the burritos before serving.
That said, this particular location has been a bit disappointing. The burritos seem smaller and less packed than they used to be, but the prices keep going up. And the chips are tasty, but the salsa portions are tiny—barely enough for a handful of chips.
I also used to love their chocolate chunk cookies because they were soft and chewy, but at this location, I could tell the cookies weren’t fresh. That was very disappointing.
Another issue was the customer service. Both staff members on site seemed very uninterested in their work, annoyed with customers, and slow. It made the experience less enjoyable.
For two burrito combos, we ended up paying almost $50, which feels pretty steep. I still love Quesada and we order delivery from the Jasper Ave location all the time—it’s always amazing. They are very generous with fillings and sides. But unfortunately, this particular location hasn’t...
Read moreI went here one day before going to Millennium Place by myself. I ordered 3 hard tacos (steak). The man making them stopped what he was doing half way through and, using his gloved hands that he had just been making my tacos with, paused to assist the employee running the cash register. After pressing several things on the register (on which a non-gloved employee was also operating whilst handling money), this man attempted to go back to making my tacos with the same, now contaminated, gloves. I stopped him however, and ordered him to change his glove. He looked puzzled and I repeated myself, so I informed him he had just been using that glove on the register. He said, "Oh ok." and then changed his glove. The "steak" in my tacos tasted like it had been boiled instead of grilled, and was grey in color. I took one bite, got up, and left. I will not ever be back. A customer should not ever have to remind an employee at a restaurant to practice good hygiene....
