YUKIHANA SUSHI — Restaurant in Smiths Falls

Stopped in to place a to go order for lunch today. Staff was accommodating and pleasant. Paid for my order and was told it would be ready in about an hour. I returned after an hour and fifteen minutes to pick up my order and was told it would be another hour wait. To ask anyone to wait for over two hours for food is insane. There were only two tables occupied in the restaurant and two people waiting for to go orders. I get they have just opened, but don't open if you aren't ready to do so. After being told it would be an additional hours wait for my lunch order I asked to cancel my order, which they did but were unable to refund my card that I had paid with and asked if cash was okay instead. So a lunch hour wasted, waiting for food I never got to eat!!

Edit: I have now eaten here 4 to 5 times since my original post. The food has been absolutely outstanding each and every time and the wait time has been very acceptable. I am a sushi lover and have eaten my fair share of it. Yukihana sushi ranks in my top 2, if not the best I have had. Don't be afraid to try their other menu items, I just recently had their bulgogi ramen bowl and it was absolutely delicious. Changing my rating to a 5 star! My husband and our 2 sons just had dinner at Yukihana Sushi for the first time and it was BEYOND fantastic! We ordered 2 wanton soups to start - the soup was prepared by chef Julie and it tasted unlike any wanton soup we have ever had before and it was DELICIOUS! As a family we ordered the Maki Plate Small to share and it was more than enough food for all four of us (two parents and 2 sons ages 13 & 12). We had extra sushi that we brought home for leftovers. The service was OUTSTANDING - our server was Semi and she was so friendly, helpful and kind! Chef Ryan prepared an additional cucumber appetizer for us and it was to die for!
