Dockside Willie's — Restaurant in South Bruce Peninsula

This was one of the most disrespectful experiences I have ever had at any restaurants in my 53 yrs, with the most unprofessional staff and management. I was waiting to be seated when another couple came in behind us the waitress approached them to seat them when I brought up that we were there first was told someone else will be looking after us and she proceded to seat this couple. We then decided to go to the takeout window to order instead but was told that we could not get the special that was offered which is what we wanted so we decided to sit on the patio as planned, but not before a person in our party had already paid for their meal at the takeout window. While waiting for seating we were told that the individual who ordered the takeout could not sit with us because of some ridiculous reason of paper being used. We asked since the kitchen for this restaurant serves both eat in and takeout could they not bring a plate so we all could eat together and was told that she would look into it. A few minutes later the individual who ordered the takeout came over to where we were seated at the patio through a doorwayp that was for the entrance to the outside. It was then that the manager approached us in the most ignorant aggressive manner suggesting that the individual jumped the barrier which was not the case at all and when we stated this he choose to continue his tirade and take the waitress opinion on the matter. We then decided that we would not tolerate such unprofessional behavior and choose to leave and go to another establishment. Time of visit 3:00ish. The place was not busy but had 6 employees working. There was only one other table of 2 besides our group of 3. The waitress placed the menus on the dirty table and walked away. I had to go ask for a cloth to clean up the liquid and crumbs from the last group. The food did come out fast.. nothing outside of the normal. Part way through my meal I went to us the washroom… there was an overflowing garbage, which I had started to pick up then thought there’s 6 people in a huddle at the til that are paid to look after this….and no toilet paper. I went out and told the staff that was standing around the til the condition of the washroom. At this time a third table was seated and eating. While we were still eating our bill was brought to us and the machine to pay. I said we still has a dessert coming. Our waitress, Lexi, said very rudely, “ yes you get one scoop of ice cream.” She stood there looking at me and I said, oh you want me to pay now before we finish?” As I was looking for my wallet she walked away. She came back and rudely put the dessert on the table and left again as I was holding my card to pay. We were now the only table left when a couple came, they asked for a window seat.. she stated that’s a table for 6. Wow…. No one else in there but my table which was getting ready to leave. She placed the couple in the darkest corner with no view. I went up to the till, Lexi, our rude waitress said, oh you’re ready to pay now. My family will...

Where do we start? This place is staffed by bratty teenagers, managed by an owner who has no idea what customer service is. We walk in, and we are barely acknlowdged by the young girls working there. They greet us, and feel the need to complain about their jobs and how they’re unable to enjoy the long weekend because of it, instead of seating us. We wait to be seated. We asked how long the wait will be to sit outside, and they shrugged “I don’t know”. Once we are finally seated, the waitress takes our order with little professionalism, thanking us for making it easier for her. You’re welcome? The food takes some time to come out, and everyone around us has already been served, even if they came in after us. I guess we didn’t make the order easy enough for her... or maybe she was still complaining about her job to another customer, forgetting to actually DO her job. When we told the owner that their staff is extremely unprofessional he replied “well how do you suppose I fix that?” At the point we turned away and left , paying for our food and leaving a big fat 0 as our tip.
