The food is at least decent as it always is at any other Tim Hortons but the service and environment is miserable.
For the amount of workers they usually have on hand they are terribly slow and that's not just because it's "busy". More than once, Ive come here even when it's quiet and waited too long for an order. My most recent visit took the cake, when my fiance and I were waiting for around/over a half hour for our order (even after half a dozen people received their orders even if they ordered after us) all because staff forgot it was even ready to be picked up. (Yes, we received an apology 👍)
The staff is at least pleasant and always tries to put their best faces forward, but that doesn't account for the extremely stressful and overstimulating environment - it's not even pleasant to sit in, it gets that loud from all of the unnecessary shouting and excess sound (not even McDonald's is that loud). I can only imagine how overwhelming it is for the staff who are already racing everywhere to finish orders, as the public doesn't have the common sense to go somewhere else for their coffee when the lines are blocking the roads.
Again, food and drink is up to par, service speed and quality is not and this has been an issue for some time even outside of rush hours. There is either too little staff hired right now OR there needs to be some customer control as it's unfair for these employees to be so overhelmed (its not okay when the inside of the building is full with the line out the door and the drive-thru line is out...
Read moreGood morning. i would like some help with the Tim Hortons in Exeter. last night, i purchased a coffee and tea. the owner informed me that a 20-cent change is in effect for hot water if i wanted more water, and if I have a problem with that, my answer was no i don't drink tea but some people might seeing how you suply free hydro and internet. he also stated the other day that a young man who was with me picking up money outside came in spent it received change and left. ok, i said if he received change, i didn't see this money found outside is a bonus, and free . he started, it's not my property, my money ok the go pick it up you can't expect others to do it for you and bring it in . then he stated, "Your friend pushed an employee too. my question now was the police called or one of the panic buttons pushed every till (cash reg·is·ter) has one . may i please see the camera footage, too? i asked if this happened. . this is when i was told im not talking to you anymore, so leave. i asked why you started the conversation, and it isn't a free Democratic country. no, this is my store not in here outside is . well, outside A democratic country inside. Read moreI went through the drive thru three times until my order was correct . I wasn’t even given an apology or any retribution for the time wasted - granted, it was a very busy Saturday morning. I had a larger order ($60) and the first time I was missing two whole combos. The third time I went thru I was missing a hashbrown. Upon arriving at home, nearly a hour later ( I live 8 minutes from this location ) I found my bagel was missing the asked for ingredient of cream cheese. The breakfast sandwiches were slopped together, sadly unappetizing and soggy hash browns. Tasting the sausage breakfast sandwich, there was an off taste that made me feel the meat was bad and I didn’t even eat it. When receiving the food, the staff were quite rude over the speaker by my third drive thru visit and didn’t even say anything as they shoved the hashbrown out the window. Being a representation of Canadian culture, you would assume the service would be to Canadian standard and at least apologetic and friendly, if efficiency isn’t prioritized. Seeing the other reviews on this establishment , I hope this is taken into consideration as I would prefer to support local but did not feel valued as a customer at all and will be hesitant to return.
Update: Did get sick from the breakfast sausage and biscuit
