Regretable decision. We came to celebrate our son's birthday because he loves ribs. Our server's name was Payton F. She was "nice" while taking our order, but was extremely pushy with the upcharging in trying to get us to "add" extras to our order. It was obvious that she was trained to upsell. We found that a bit irritating, especially since they do not tell you that all the extras like garlic toast have a charge. She made it sound like these things came with the food items. My husband and I were not fooled by this but my elderly mother-in-law was. Payton also did not come by the table much after taking our order. Ribs - my son and daughter said that the quality has gone down since the last time we were here about 6 months ago. Spinach dip - excellent as usual Fish & Chips - very greasy fish, obviously straight from the fryer onto my plate without dripping off. Not much flavour. Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich - 1/3 pure fat, my husband said it was "nasty." and the sandwich came with no top bun. He was not given a knife to cut it, so had to wait a long time for the waitress to come by and get one. He asked about getting a top bun and she said she would check - it would cost extra to get one. Still no knife, so my son gave his to him so he could cut the sandwich and eat it with a fork?? After the meal we asked to talk to the manager, paid our bill and waited for 10 minutes. The manager never came, so we left. Our grandkids had sat there way too long. (Not sure if our server even told the manager we wanted to speak to them.) About an hour after my daughter and the kids got home my granddaughter started to vomit. She continued to get sick all night long (both ends). She had food poisoning from her kid's burger meal. While eating dinner she had told her mom that her burger tasted funny and kept stealing food from her mom's ribs plate instead of eating all of her hamburger. (We all thought that she just liked her mom's food better.) She only ate 1/3 of her hamburger, but that was enough to get her sick. The quality of Montana's has gone downhill. You likely lost a lifelong customer. We regretted our decision to...
Read moreTonight was supposed to be a special night for my parents. Both are in their 70's and got dressed up to go out on a date night for my mother's birthday, just the two of them (I honestly don't remember the last time my parents did this and my mother was very much looking forward to it). When they got to the restaurant both my mother and father ordered steak. Shortly after it arrived at the table my mother noticed her steak had a long black hair on it, so of course she did what anyone would do asked the waiter to take the steak back because she wasn't going to eat steak with hair on it. The waiter asked if she wanted another steak and that it would take 20 minutes. My mother said she would and asked if she could see the menu to order a appetizer while she waited for her steak eventually she settled on garlic bread and a decaf tea. Eventually the waiter showed back up asking them how things were and if they wanted anything else. They told him they were still waiting for the steak, that's when the waiter informs them he didn't order the steak. They then request to speak to the manager. The manager shows up to the table, apologizes for the mistake and offers to discount the bill. When the bill shows up (I'm not making this next part up.... seriously) they discounted the steak that was returned because of the hair on it, that's it. They of course question the manager on this who apologizes yet again and then discounts the garlic bread (which is all of $2). At this point they're just to disappointed in the evening to say anything else and pay the bill... you would think that would be the end to this long story but it's not... despite the steak having hair on it, the second steak not being ordered and the night basically being ruined because of terrible customer service the manager then asks if they're going to leave a tip..
So long story short if you go to Montana's expect hair in your steak, don't expect food that you ordered to actually arrive at your table and most certainly don't expect anything resembling...
Read moreVery disappointed in my recent visit to Montanas. My family came there to celebrate my grandmas birthday. There were many problems we ran into which was very unfortunate. Problem #1 we asked 4 times for a highchair and they didnt have “any left” although i didnt see any in use and the restaurant wasnt very busy. instead of offering a booster seat i had to ask if they had one and they had to go check to see and it took about 25-30 mins to finally have a seat for my son. Problem #2 Asked for chocolate milk, got regular milk (not a big deal if that was the only problem but i am listing out all the issues) took atleast 15 mins for the waitress to come back to our table so that i could switch the milks. Problem #3 My grandma asked for coffee 2 mins after arriving, did not recieve it until she had to ask again after her meal and the waitress didnt even remember she ordered it. Problem #4 I asked if they could bring out the antlers for my grandmas birthday, she said sure. never did. i asked a second time she said yes. a third time she then said they didnt do it anymore but they have paper hats but she couldnt find any. 10 mins later they brought out the paper hat to the table next to us. When we asked for the free desert she was hesitant but brought it out. Not sure why this isnt automatically given out or suggested when somebody says its their birthday. We had to ask for everything nothing was offered….. Problem #5 My steak that was like $40 was almost well done and i ordered medium rare… It also seems as their portions were sooo small compared to when i went there a couple years ago to a different location. Problem #6 asked for bill multiple times waited over 25 mins so she had to pay at the front desk. Not going to go on any longer other than to say we will not be back to this location and probably not another Montanas for a long time if ever. I suggest you get new staff if you care...
