It's pretty ridiculous how people are rating this place a five star and complaining about the food (spicy flat bread, steak gristle). My food experience was just as bad. I ordered two appetizers, shrimp cocktail and crab cakes, and a friend had the fish n chips. The menu says the crab cakes come from the East Coast so I questioned if that was Halifax and the server didn't know so she had to go in the back and ask and confirmed Halifax. To this day I'm not sure I believe that. Crab cakes were quite soggy and the first bite had bits of shell in it. It was also sitting on bland, watery coleslaw. That was the last bite I took. The shrimp cocktail? Well, look at my picture. Does that look like a shrimp cocktail? It was warm grilled peppery shrimp. When I questioned the waitress about the shrimp cocktail (as soon as she brought it) and how it's supposed to be served cold, she said This is How We Do It. Which is great.... just advertise it as grilled shrimp and not a shrimp cocktail, which is universally known to be cold shrimp 🙄 The server came back several times, saw I did not eat much of my food, but ignored it. All of it went into a box to go and a garbage on the way out. This restaurant obviously gets a free pass on food because of their Stellar location. But the 3 dishes cost $60 and I left a $20 tip because I'm local. But I would never recommend this place for food, and I will not be returning.

How do I put this..... AMAZING.... everything we ordered was a level above and reasonably priced (except the wings, they were, ehhh, sorry). I had a sample from everything that was ordered, and it was super delicious. Everyone thought the same thing, and we will definitely return. We ordered the rasta pasta, jumbo pesto penne, island chicken, oven roasted turkey club, and the monster buttermilk fried chicken sanwhich. EVERYTHING WAS JUST AMAZING Anyone giving negative reviews, doesn't know what they are talking about, and probably can't cook KD, but have the nerve to review food haha (unless there have been drastic changes between those reviews and my attendance)

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The patio view and atmosphere is like nothing else in Port Dalhousie . We were there on a Thursday night when they had outdoor patio music with Abe. The food is delicious and presented beautifully. The staff are very attentive considering it is always so busy they are still there for you when you need them.

For the first time in the 20 years I've been in the Port Dalhousie with my business. I decided to walk over from my boat and enjoy a dinner and a few drinks at the yaucht club restaurant. I checked online and made sure the restaurant was still open. The online hours on their website said it was open till 10 pm. So after viewing their menu. I was looking forward to enjoying a good meal. So I walked over and walked in the door at 9:15 pm. The moment I walked in the girls said all tables are full in the patio. I made sure to let them know, that I seen many tables open. Then they said to me, ok the kitchen is closed then. They didn't even say it nicely, they actually said it really rudely and turned around and ignored me. I was totally shocked and felt horrible. As a restaurant owner, I was absolutely shocked. If any of my staff left a customer standing there and were as rude as they were, with zero explanation. They would instantly be dismissed from their position, or written up. I've literally spent a fortune on gas from their gas dock over the years running my local business. I have referred so many of my customers to go eat there. As I was told it was a great place.

I will never buy fuel from the gas dock again. I will never send another customer there again either.

I just can't believe how rude the staff was.

Customer service is everything. First impressions go a long way.

Pretty sad actually. Because of two really rude staff. The PDYC will never get any of business from me. Nor will I refer any of my customers their again.

Remember that customer service...

am writing to provide some feedback in the hope that it will lead to positive changes. I genuinely want this restaurant to thrive and be an exceptional place for everyone.

My recent visits have left me feeling that non-members are not as welcome, which is a concern given that the restaurant often has available seating and could benefit from more business.

Here are a couple of points that I believe could enhance the experience for all guests:

Ambiance on the Non-Member Side: There is no music on the non-member side of the restaurant. While I understand that music might be a perk for members, extending this to all areas would significantly improve the overall ambiance and create a more inviting atmosphere for everyone. *Menu options * On my last visit, when we inquired about ordering an appetizer or snack to accompany our beers, we were asked if we were members and then told we could not order them. It's perplexing why there are no appetizer or why a side of fries would be restricted, especially since they are served as part of other dishes. We were simply looking for a snack to enjoy while watching the boats, and the refusal was quite unexpected.

I believe that the yacht club has unfortunately lost sight of its hospitality values, and I sincerely hope it can be revitalized. You should be enticing people to want to join the club vs making them feel like second class citizens. If you read the other reviews we are not the only ones with this sentiment. We would love to return and experience the...
