Overall experience was amazing! It was our first time to experience The Fry and the food and staff didn't disappoint. We've always been a fan of Korean Fried Chicken so we knew we were gonna try their take on it.

We ordered fried gizzards, which I devoured, fried fries, which my partner enjoyed noting its clean taste and crispy exterior. I do wish the gizzards were cut in a tad smaller pieces tho considering its chewy texture. I enjoyed it nonetheless as it's not a common item found in other restaurants. My Asian heart was overjoyed upon the discovery of this item on their menu LOL

As for the chicken, we ordered their Half & Half to try 2 flavours: sweet + cheeseling. We assumed we were just gonna get 4-6pcs of each flavour. Lo and behold, we got double that! In hindsight, perhaps we should've asked how their Half & Half comes. The sweet sauce was our favourite out of the two. While I enjoyed the cheeseling, it is something I will only get when I crave for such specific flavour. Both flavours were tasty and chicken were fried to perfection - juicy inside and crispy on the outside 😋

On our next visit, we plan to try their Rose Tteokboki, another order of the sweet fried chicken (just one flavour this time to avoid overeating/take out LOL) and cheese powder fries.

I went to The Fry (St. Catharines) yesterday while doing DoorDash, and even though the order wasn’t ready right away, the staff went above and beyond to treat me with kindness and respect. The person working there was incredibly polite and empathetic. He clearly explained the delay, estimated about 7 minutes, and apologized several times. What truly impressed me was that he even came out front and kindly offered me a Coke or a drink while I waited. I’ve waited at many places before, but I’ve rarely seen such a warm-hearted attitude. I didn’t take the drink, but his behavior made me feel truly appreciated. If they treat Dashers this well, I believe customers are in great hands too. The atmosphere was also clean and welcoming. Absolutely phenomenal Korean fried chicken — simple, crispy, and incredibly satisfying. The chicken was perfectly cooked: juicy and flavorful inside, with a golden, ultra-crispy exterior that didn’t feel greasy at all. You can really taste the quality and care that went into frying it just right.

Even without any sauce, the seasoning on the batter was spot-on. It had a subtle depth of flavor that made each bite addictive. This is the kind of chicken that doesn’t need any extras — just pure, honest crunch and tenderness.
