A very nice atmosphere and attractive establishment. We were quickly greeted and seated.... and from there it was all down hill. It was a Saturday night and half full at best ( not a good sign at dinner time). We ordered a couple appetizers and our mains. The Mediterranean Flat Bread, Smokey BBQ wings, Chicken and Brie Sandwich and the Crabby Burger.
Mediterranean Flat bread... in short, a few grilled veggies on store bought naan bread. No, seriously, thats it. Brushing the bread lightly with some Olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper would go an exceptionally long way. Heck, maybe even go so far as to sprinkle a little dried oregano on it. Do something that reflects the inspiration of the name of the dish.
The Smokey BBQ Wings... The sauce was very good. the crisp breaded crunch of the wings was nice. So what's the problem? The wings... more like turkey legs. They were massive! Not massive good, like WOW thats a big wing. More like "what kind of Steroid riddled, chernobyl experiment am i eating?" You could tell the chicken was pumped full of steroids and force fed to be THAT big. If thats your thing... go for it, but i cant stop wondering where the meat came from.
The Chicken brie sandwich... it was decent. Nuff said.
That brings us to the Crabby Burger... Just say NO! The read up on it makes it sound pretty good. Hence i tried it. Without a doubt, someone opened up the can of crabmeat sometime this morning and left it on the counter all day long. When my burger order came up, they partly drained the water off it and slapped it onto the burger and heated it up. It smelled more like bad tuna than it did like crab. I choked down a couple bites and then tried to finish the burger after scraping the remnants of Nemo off of it. Wasn't going to happen. I left well over half the burger on the plate and had it discarded. My girlfriend was sitting across the table and made a face at the smell of it when i took the top off of the burger... Need i go on?
The side salads were a nice blend of mixed greens topped with a decent Kraft Dressing. Balsamic i believe.... nothing about it said signature dressing other than the bottle it came from.
And finally the waitress... nice enough girl. I don't really know though. i don't think she ever completely stopped at our table. Even when she was asking a question, it was mid stride as she was passing by and she wasn't stopping to hear an answer..... perhaps she knew something we didn't and she didn't want to hear the answers to "How's everything so far?"
Total bill....$70 + tip... yes i tipped the girl. she didn't cook our food, she just had to serve it. She did a decent job at getting it out without dropping it on the floor.
At the very least, if you're an independent restaurant, your food should be better than any chain franchise out there.
I'd recommend spending the same money and going to Kelsey's at the very least. Better flat breads, better wings, better food and service in general. Or if Pub food burgers are your thing... go to The Works downtown. If you're going to pay $16 for a burger, it shouldn't taste like Nemo threw up Sebastian the Crab on top of your food.
Great location, great decor, great potential..... completely missed the most important...

The restaurant offers a variety of dishes and has a pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful patio overlooking greenery and a creek. The staff was friendly, efficient, and worked well together, which contributed to a pleasant dining experience.
The calamari dish was a standout, with a spicy and fresh flavor. The tangy orange sauce complemented the calamari well, creating a satisfying combination. The two shareable dishes, 20 hot and spicy wings and three fish tacos with a salad inside, were also enjoyable. The wings were well-done and packed with spice, catering to those who appreciate a bit of heat. The fish tacos had a great combination of flavors, and the addition of the salad provided a refreshing element.
The restaurant also offers a good selection of beer and wine, providing options for different tastes. This is a great feature for those who enjoy pairing their meals with a suitable beverage.
For dessert, I highly recommend trying the deconstructed Oreo cheesecake with whipped cream. The cheesecake was fresh and satisfying, hitting the spot for a sweet ending to the meal.
The highlight of the restaurant is the patio, which offers a picturesque view of the surrounding greenery and creek. It provides a pleasant and relaxing setting for enjoying a meal, especially during the warmer months.

Read moreWas pretty disappointed with this establishment, I don't ask for much but when basic needs arnt met I'm perplexed... we used the women's bathroom that stinks of mold there seems to be a leak in the ceiling and the bulging ceiling tiles is an accident waiting to happen. The smell of mold was overwhelming. The hand blower also refused to work and with no alternatives we were left to walk out with wet hands. We were sat and left to wait 10 minutes before we were served a kids menu. A menu that is clearly for coloring but the staff said they stopped buying crayons because they break... 🤷♀️🤷♀️ my kids had some chocolate milk and it seemed very white, after closed inspection and a taste test I realized it was definitely not real chocolate milk and chocolate syrup such as quik, it pooled at the bottom of the glass which was another dead giveaway. Gross. I requested straws and they said nope but then produced a few out of thin air. All meals were brought out at differing types. And they didn't check in on us to help refill drinks or any other requests we might have such as extra napkins. They clearly don't care about the family aspect of the experience and although the food was good the service was less then desirable. Won't be back unless the mold is addressed... that's just a health hazard. Side note having disgusting hand sanitizers on the tables is also gross. Everyone knows those bottles are only touched with...
