The people working there are so sweet. I came in pretty late after work and had to walk over to this wendys. I don't have a car, but at the time they were drive thru only, no inside. I didn't know that they closed the inside dining area after 9, but I still wanted to order. I walked up to the window and was greeted by who i later found out was a new manager. I asked if I could order and was told no because of safety reasons. I get it, I worked in fast food and it's literally just safety protocol. I just was a bit upset, I mean I don't have a car, but I can't order? I ended up placing a mobile order through the wendys app and walked around back to the window after 5 minutes just to see if I could pick it up. I apologize as I ended up scaring the young lady who was also working, but she greeted me in a pleasant way. I asked if it was okay to order despite not having a car, and she told me it was still okay. I let her know what I was told previously and she reassured me it was fine. I let her know that I had placed a mobile order and she said it would be ready soon, and to wait outside the front door. Side note, if anyone else plans to do the same as me, place a mobile order!! It is a lot easier for them (because they don't have to worry about you standing there for a while and possibly getting hit by a car!). After a few minutes, she gave me my food and was super kind the entire time. I commend the two who handled my super huge order and the hassle I gave them. I don't know their names, but I give my kudos and adoration to the Wendy's team here, excellent job every time I've been there. Food was amazing, definitely...
Read moreOk. So. I need you to understand. In an over saturarted fast food marketplace. I LOVE Wendy's. Since childhood.
That being said. I was in line at this Wendy's for about 3 minutes and had the "pleasure" of watching the owner / manager berate one of her staff while on the floor. About her lateness.
Because this "manager" obviously missed this cardinal lesson of management. You NEVER address ANY issues with your staff in front of customers, EVER.
Wildly inappropriate behavior from someone who REALLY should know better. You take them off the floor when it's not busy and address it in private. Never where customers OR their coworkers can see and hear. If I heard it, the 3 people in front of me in line heard it, and every staff member behind the counter heard it.
This has put me off THIS particular store, probably for good. Which is sad because Christmas is coming. And I ship in this area a lot.
I turned and walked out and gave my business to McDonald's. In the future when in this end of town I intend to avoid this Wendy's like the plague. If this is how you treat those who make your money, I shudder to think how you will handle a customer complaint.
This owner/manager: if you were managing for a business I owned. I would have taken you off the floor and sent you home immediately. This is NOT the look I would want applied to my store. I am disgusted with your lack of etiquette in addressing...
Read moreI love this location. It's my favorite Wendy's. It has a Pacific fish sandwich that is by far the best fast food fish sandwich! This location has been under going renovations for some weeks now and the new decor is quite cold and has too many hard surfaces and the layout makes the ambient sound is just unpleasant. The "system" was down so we had to empty our pockets to find enough cash to pay for the food, which also limited our choices. It is a Tim Hortons/Wendy's combined unit and the planned hot chocolate (looked forward to, to warm very cold hands from working outside all afternoon) was unavailable as the Tim Horton's part of the resterunt was still closed. The food we could afford was really good but we had to go to the Starbucks across the road to get the hot chocolates and additional food to fill our belly's. I've never gone there before as it was a Burger King corporate store some years ago and I worked for Burger King as the in-house designer. We used to open a full restaurant within 60 days of breaking ground, so it puzzles me why this renovation is taking so long. I think I will be limiting myself to drive-thru in the future, but will still return for the Pacific Cod and the Bacon Maple Chicken...
