Came here just after 1pm on a Sunday recently. After being seated it was at least 10 minutes before anyone came to see us to take drink orders. After ordering, another employee came to take our drink orders... But we had already ordered. Did someone steal the other's area? Anyway, the drinks finally came after another wait and then yet another to actually order food. Put our food orders in (I had the Lumberjack Slam), and then proceeded to wait over an HOUR to actually receive the food. I couldn't believe it. I don't think I've ever waited that long for food at a restaurant before. And honestly, the restaurant wasn't even full. And to make matters worse, I counted at least 3 tables that came, ate and left before we had gotten our food. No one came to update us once on the status, and it rather felt like we were being ignored. After it finally came, all we got was a "sorry about that" and the server proceeded to not even set the food on the table, but wait until we took it from her in our hands which I thought was odd. My ham (which is part of the meal) was also missing, so I had to ask for that and wait for it to come too. We were in the restaurant for close to 2.5 hours. It might have been the worst service I've ever experienced. I probably wouldn't come back to this location. It's a good thing the...
Read moreWalked in Saturday to place a take out order. Was told it would be 15 minutes.
My meal was to come with mashed potatoes and a side salad, which I paid extra to change the second side from another starch to.
25 minutes later the take out bag was handed to my teenager, as I had already gone to the car with my little.
We drive another 20 minutes back to our hotel, where we sit down to finally eat.
Shocker I donât have mashed potatoes but instead deep fried home fries, my salad is missing and my salmon looks to have already been chewed up and spit out⌠did they give me leftovers someone was going to dismiss because it looked gross. (And it wasnât shook it sat on my teenagers lap the entire way back as he kept trying to eat his food in the car)
Hereâs where it gets AWESOME:
I called the restaurant to tell them Iâm starving and now am unable to eat as I can not have deep fried things rn.
I asked they refund me to my card over the phone⌠I was yelled at, told to call Monday to speak to the manager and hung up on.
This, is such beautiful customer service! Their reward: this raving review and a promise that at the very least, my family will never eat at any Dennyâs ever again. Franchise or not!
We definitely regret not going to...

My partner and I went to Denny's in St. Thomas for breakfast on Sunday Sep 13/20. There was a line-up and we left our phone number and were told they'd call us when a table opened up. No problems. We waited but never got a call so we went back in and gave our name and they had to look back on the previous sheet to find us. In other words, they skipped over us.
Service was prompt and the restaurant was clean. My partner ordered the waffle slam and I ordered the Berry Crep(1). Both orders came but my partners egg was not cooked properly and had to be sent back. Both orders were minimally warm. My partners waffle wouldn't melt the butter she put on it.
I was expecting a great new enterprise in St. Thomas after waiting almost a year and quite frankly I was disappointed. Most breakfasts anywhere in town come with toast - geez it costs them next to nothing to offer it and clients expect it for breakfast. Toast is extra! Coffee is $2.99
Our total before tip was $32.27 and the portions were light. My choice for breakfast will continue to be the Country Charm Cafe. The quality is superior and price point is well below Denny's. But it was new and and it deserved a try. Bottom line is we won't...
