Came here just after 1pm on a Sunday recently. After being seated it was at least 10 minutes before anyone came to see us to take drink orders. After ordering, another employee came to take our drink orders... But we had already ordered. Did someone steal the other's area? Anyway, the drinks finally came after another wait and then yet another to actually order food. Put our food orders in (I had the Lumberjack Slam), and then proceeded to wait over an HOUR to actually receive the food. I couldn't believe it. I don't think I've ever waited that long for food at a restaurant before. And honestly, the restaurant wasn't even full. And to make matters worse, I counted at least 3 tables that came, ate and left before we had gotten our food. No one came to update us once on the status, and it rather felt like we were being ignored. After it finally came, all we got was a "sorry about that" and the server proceeded to not even set the food on the table, but wait until we took it from her in our hands which I thought was odd. My ham (which is part of the meal) was also missing, so I had to ask for that and wait for it to come too. We were in the restaurant for close to 2.5 hours. It might have been the worst service I've ever experienced. I probably wouldn't come back to this location. It's a good thing the...

Walked in Saturday to place a take out order. Was told it would be 15 minutes.

My meal was to come with mashed potatoes and a side salad, which I paid extra to change the second side from another starch to.

25 minutes later the take out bag was handed to my teenager, as I had already gone to the car with my little.

We drive another 20 minutes back to our hotel, where we sit down to finally eat.

Shocker I don’t have mashed potatoes but instead deep fried home fries, my salad is missing and my salmon looks to have already been chewed up and spit out… did they give me leftovers someone was going to dismiss because it looked gross. (And it wasn’t shook it sat on my teenagers lap the entire way back as he kept trying to eat his food in the car)

Here’s where it gets AWESOME:

I called the restaurant to tell them I’m starving and now am unable to eat as I can not have deep fried things rn.

I asked they refund me to my card over the phone… I was yelled at, told to call Monday to speak to the manager and hung up on.

This, is such beautiful customer service! Their reward: this raving review and a promise that at the very least, my family will never eat at any Denny’s ever again. Franchise or not!

We definitely regret not going to...

Barely adequate

My partner and I went to Denny's in St. Thomas for breakfast on Sunday Sep 13/20. There was a line-up and we left our phone number and were told they'd call us when a table opened up. No problems. We waited but never got a call so we went back in and gave our name and they had to look back on the previous sheet to find us. In other words, they skipped over us.

Service was prompt and the restaurant was clean. My partner ordered the waffle slam and I ordered the Berry Crep(1). Both orders came but my partners egg was not cooked properly and had to be sent back. Both orders were minimally warm. My partners waffle wouldn't melt the butter she put on it.

I was expecting a great new enterprise in St. Thomas after waiting almost a year and quite frankly I was disappointed. Most breakfasts anywhere in town come with toast - geez it costs them next to nothing to offer it and clients expect it for breakfast. Toast is extra! Coffee is $2.99

Our total before tip was $32.27 and the portions were light. My choice for breakfast will continue to be the Country Charm Cafe. The quality is superior and price point is well below Denny's. But it was new and and it deserved a try. Bottom line is we won't...

So...WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW? Well...Dennys was and is better when it is either the only option in 100miles, your off a highway far ways from home or hung over and crave fried anything. (Why you wouldn't go to Mc D instead for that I wouldn't know) Cost is around $25 dollars per person. Example...2 eggs 2 bacon/2 peices toast and drink $25. Thats alot of $$$ for what you get! The service was mediocre and not worth the 15% tip. The robot got caught on chairs and was more of a gimmicky restaurant thing for customers rather then useful in anyway. At the end we were not offered a take out bag for our cheese sticks...so we carried them out wrapped in napkin. Very strange and disappointing. I am willing to bet the business is having difficulties finding decent help. The service for food was fairly slow at near 40min.order to table. The longer cook times make it difficult to come here for lunch break. You wont make it back in under an hour.

I went in the morning to wait for my preordered breakfast and asked for a coffee to have while I waited. Servers seemed a little out of it and not so friendly. I had to ask for cream and then for a spoon when I called my order in I ordered extra Pico de gallo on the side..I got this creamy sauce with barely any tomato in it.. want anything remotely close to Pico de gallo or the picture they posted on there menu. I was just about to pour some On my eggs to try it and a bread came out with the sauce and I felt sick right away seeing this and being 7 months pregnant who knows whose dirty fingers were on it. Two breakfast Two ice teas One coffee which was a super small coffee cup size was almost 4 dollars. Extra sauce came to $55 plus tax and tip 😣 Wasn’t impressed and won’t ever return but Dennys is way better in the states.
